And to my parents, my friends, my family, and my educators.

Christmas Eve 1940. A woman named Eugenia Fauci is spending her Christmas in the hospital, pregnant. But she was happy about it. That day, the baby came out. She didn't know that he would be a successful immunologist. Eugenia and her husband, Stephen were pharmacists, health professionals that focus on the safe and healthy use of medications.
An immunologist(mentioned on page 2, word 37) is a doctor that specializes in the human immune system. Immunologists can be found anywhere. Anthony Fauci(a.k.a. Dr. Fauci, that Eugenia had) was not only a successful immunologist, but was one of the most successful immunologists in America of the 21st century(2000-present).
March 1950. The baby grew up to be a 9-year old. At this time, his friends called him Tony. He was top assistant to Stephen and Eugenia. He helped them by delivering prescriptions. He was a very good child. He had a good education, a good family, good friends, and a great life. Since Eugenia told him that she dreamed of him being an immunologist, he was obsessed.
Fact
"He spent his time researching. A LOT. "
He knew a lot about immunology at age 12, in 1942. His researching really helped with advanced immunology practices every day of the week. People thought that he was crazy enough already. But he never actually stopped, and he was going to keep doing it, no matter what anyone said.

Christmas Eve 1958. Today was Dr.Fauci's 18th birthday. Stephen walked him to what he calls a "youth school". It was called Holy Cross University. He was studying immunology, more than he had ever done. Then, he went to his dream college, Cornell Medical School. There, he learned a lot about the human immune system.
1984. Dr.Fauci is now the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He is still head today. He was an extremely hard worker. He joined the NIH, which is the National Institute of Health. He practiced medicine and helped different people, of all ages. No matter what, Tony never gave up the medicine. Never retired. Never not trying. Never giving up.
In February 2020, a pandemic called Coronavirus(COVID-19) hit Earth. People had to stay home and wear masks. They also had to take tests to see if they have COVID. Tony knew that if he didn't figure out how to fix this worldwide problem, this will go on forever and many people will die. He cared, and he had an idea.
