Long ago during an age when dragons and magic existed, a giant sea monster known as the End Worm lived at the bottom of the ocean, in a deep slumber. Every generation it would wake up and find a ship or village to eat, and it would always chose people from Scotland, for the beast thought they were the tastiest of them all.

The king of Scotland was very troubled, for today was the day that the End Worm would devour his people. So he asked his trusted advisor, the sorcerer, for help. "You must give up your daughter Princess Gwenda to the End Worm as a sacrifice. Then he will stop." he said. "Is there any other way?" the king sobbed. "No! You must give her up!" said the sorcerer. The king refused to listen. He would never give up his beloved daughter.

So the king sent a message to all of Scotland. Whoever could kill the End Worm would get 1,000 gold coins and get to stay at the castle for 5 days as a guest. Many people accepted. How hard could it be? they thought.

The same day the princess was going to be offered up to the End Worm, a fisher boy named Alex decided he would try to kill it. All his life Alex had wanted to be an adventurer, but he had never got the chance. People thought he was too puny and weak. He told his parents what he was about to do. They were unsure at first, but after some convincing, they finally let him go. Alex was so excited. He packed up his things, said goodbye to his mother and father, and set off in his old rowboat. He took a bucket of hot burning coals with him, which confused his parents.

As Alex approached the End Worm, he saw it sleeping. He sailed closer and closer. Suddenly the creature opened it's mouth and yawned... 

... and swallowed up Alex! Alex tried to stop from falling off his boat as he slid down the monsters throat. When he was at the bottom, he saw a huge pit full of acid. This must be it's stomach. he thought. He traveled around the monster's body until he was in...
