Aims of the Project:

This is a project about Ocean's influence on us and our influence on the Ocean.

The project is meant to engage students in actions that focus on Ocean Pollution: Causes and Consequences and Possible Solutions.

We will be  also tackling the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, especially Goal 14.

The activities proposed in this project aim to develop students' awareness, Critical Thinking; Communication; Collaboration and Creativity ,encouraging them to take action to make the world a Greener and Healthier place.

In cosmetics, “microplastic” refers to all types of tiny plastic particles (smaller than 5mm) that are intentionally added to cosmetics and personal care products. They are often used as emulsifying agents or just as cheap fillers. Students have made a simple experiment proving that shower peeling gel usually contains 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐲𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞 (non-biogradable microplastic beads) instead of natural ingredients. Accumulative human impacts endanger the ecosystem and its biological diversity. Its nanoparticles also endanger human health which are taken up in blood,lympathic system,liver and gall bladder.
