Where it all Begin

As a child, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. Being a teacher has always meant everything to me. I come from a family of educators, and I knew God chose me to continue what my family started. To me, in order to be a teacher you must have a passion, and a specific calling from God. I knew at a young age this was my career. I always had my own classroom in my room with my students.  Jaymie, my oldest sister, was my very first student in my imaginary classroom. whenever I played teacher. Jaymie is my bestfriend.

                           SECOND GRADE

In the second grade I learned the importance of literacy, and I learned how to read. Yes, me, I did not know how to read until the second grade. As a student, I felt so left behind and I continued to fail all assignments due to me not knowing how to read. In the first grade, my teacher did not emphasize the importance of reading and how it would affect me long term.  

How Ms. Cook changed My LIFE

 Ms. Cook was my lifesaver, and she taught me how to read & write. Ms. Cook did not give up on me and she poured into my education from the time I stepped into her classroom in the 2nd grade until I went to the third grade. Because of her my grades changed tremendously and I became an A+ student, nothing less. Ms. Cook inspired me, and changed who I was academically. My parents explained to her the trouble I was experiencing they never gave up on me either. My parents were so supportive. 

My amazing reading skills 

   After Ms. Cook helped me learn how to read and write the only thing I wanted to do was read and write. I was so happy when I did learn how to read and write. In my free time, I always read a book because I was determined to learn new words. My reading skills were so great and I was so proud.
