Şekilay, Root Math kasabasındaki geleneksel MasterMath yarışlarına katılacağı için çok heyecanlıydı.  Bu yarışları kazanıp büyük MasterMath ödülünün sahibi olmak için bütün bir yıl çalıştı. 

       Yarışın ilk maratonunda ipe mandalla asılmış karışık sayıları sıraya sokması gerekiyordu. Bu onun için çok basitti. Hemen işe koyuldu ve çok kısa bir sürede tamamladı. 

Shekilay was very excited to participate in the traditional MasterMath races in the town of Root Math. He worked all year to win these races and win the grand MasterMath award. He worked so hard; his body looked like a superhero made of shapes.

In the first marathon of the race, he had to line up the mixed numbers hanging by pegs on the rope. This was very simple for him. He immediately got to work and completed it in a very short time.               Adile ALKAN

   Şekilayın,  yarışmanın ikinci maratonunda çorapları ve eldivenleri ipe dizmesi gerekiyordu. Ama bir sorun vardı bazı çorapların ve eldivenlerin eşini bir türlü bulamıyordu. Acaba rüzgar mı aldı, sel mi taşıdı diye düşündü.

  Şekilay bütün çorapları  ve eldivenleri ipe dizince "neler olduğunu anladım galiba bunlar tek çift olmalılar" dedi. Artık Şekilay maratonun 3. kısmı için hazırdı.

    Shekilay, he had to string the socks and gloves in the second marathon of the competition. But there was a problem, some socks and gloves could not find their match. He wondered if the wind took it or it carried floods.

      When I stringed all the socks and gloves, Shakilay said, "I understand what's going on, they must be one pair." Now Shekilay was ready for the third part of the marathon.    Kamiran ÇAKARA

    Şekilayın,  maratonun bu kısmında geometrik şekillerden gemi yapması gerekiyordu. Kare, üçgen, dikdörtgen ve daire şekilleri vardı. Geminin seyahata çıkınca batmaması için Şekilayın bu şekilleri doğru yerleştirmesi çok önemliydi. Şekilayda çocukların yardımı ile bütün parçaları doğru bir şekilde yerleştirdi.

    Shekilay in this part of the marathon, she had to build ships out of geometric shapes. There were square, triangle, rectangular, and circle shapes. It was very important for Shekilay to place these shapes correctly in order to prevent the ship from sinking while traveling. With the help of children, she placed all the pieces correctly.    Dostu ORUJOVA

  Şekilay maratonun dördüncü yarısına hazırdı, önünde iki kırmızı elma ağacı ve farklı büyüklükte iki sepet vardı. Ne yapmalı? Büyük sepete çok sayıda elma ve küçük sepete yalnızca bir elma toplayıp koyması gerektiğini düşündü! Kısa bir çabadan sonra küçük sepetteki elmayı yedi. Böylece yarışa devam etmek için enerji depoladı.

Shekilay was ready for the fourth part of the marathon, he had two red apple trees and two baskets of different sizes in front of him… what to do? He 9thought that he had to collect and put many apples in the big basket and only one apple in the small basket! After the effort, he ate the apple from the small basket. Now he could continue his marathon ..

  MasterMath yarışları gittikçe zorlaşıyordu. O da ne? Bir göz bandı. Şekilay bu göz bandını takıp rakamlara dokunacak ve kabarık rakam tablası ile şönilden rakamları eleştirerek sayının adını söyleyecekti. Sonra da gözleri kapalı halde kalemle boş tahtaya o sayıları yazacaktı.  Göz bandını çıkardığı zaman ise doğru mu yanlış mı  yazdığını rakam kartlarından kontrol edecekti. Bu zor gibi gözüküyordu ama onun için bir çocuk oyuncağıydı. Hızlı hızlı tamamladı ama olamaz, 4 ve 7 yi karıştırmıştı. Bu kadar acele etmekle hata etmisti. Ama "Neyse ki 2 hatayla tamamladım" diye sevindi. 5 yanlışı olsaydı diğer tura geçemeyecekti.

      MasterMath racing was getting harder and harder. "Eye patch" . Shakilay would touch the numbers with his eyes closed, criticizing the fluffy numbers and chenille numbers, then saying the name of the number. Then he would write on the blank board with a blindfolded pencil, finally remove the eye patch and check if he had written right or wrong from the number cards ... It looked difficult but was seen as a piece of cake for him. But he confused 4 and 7… He wrote and recognized all the remaining numbers correctly. “Fortunately I completed this tour with 2 mistakes,” he was happy. If he had made 5 mistakes, he wouldn't be able to advance to the next round. Yes . Shekilay was ready for the next round.

  Şekilay 6. turda yer kapmaca oynayan deniz canlıları ile karşılaştı. Oyunun kuralları harikaydı. Onlara yardım etmek için her birini hızlıca düğmeye ilikleyerek deniz canlılarını  lastik yardımı ile küçük- büyük kavramına göre birbiriyle eşleştirmesi gerekiyordu. Bunun için birbirinden farklı boydaki lastikleri kullanacaktı.Hemen lastikleri yan yana koyarak boy sırası yaptı ve eşleştirmeye başladı. 1,2,3 derken çabucak oyunu tamamladı. Kıpır kıpır Şekilay için bu oyun çok basitti. Kendi bile hızına şaşa kalmıştı. 

    Şekilay came across sea creatures playing ground-grabbing in the 6th round. The rules of the game were great. To help them, he quickly buttones each of them on the button. And he had to match the sea creatures with the help of rubber, paying attention to the small-big concept. For this, he would use tires of different sizes. He immediately put the tires side by side in order of length and started to match. When he said 1,2,3, he quickly completed the game. For fidget Shakilay, this game was very simple. Even his own speed was stunned. He was already ready for the next round.  İlknur AKBAŞ

Şekilayın,  yarışmanın yedinci maratonunda ağaçlarda elma ve armutları kendi sepetlerine koyması gerekiyordu. Ama bir sorun vardı.Bir ağaçta hem elma hem armut vardı. Nasıl bir ağaçtı böyle? Acaba ağaçlarda ki meyveler neden karışmıştı? 

      Şekilay iki ağaçta karışık olan meyveleri kendilerine ait sepetlere toplayarak çözüme ulaşmıştı.

Shakilay had to put apples and pears in their baskets on the trees in the seventh marathon of the competition. But there was a problem: There was both an apple and a pear on a tree, I wonder why the fruits on the trees got mixed up?

      Şekilay came to a solution by collecting the mixed fruits on two trees in their own baskets. Now Shekilay was ready for the 8th half of the marathon.

      Şekilay 8. Bölüm de karşısına hayvanlar çıkmasına çok sevindi. Ama ne yapacağını anlamamıştı. Hayvan dostları Şekilaya yardımcı oldu ve kendi yerlerini söyledi. Pembe tavşan çalının arkasına gri tavşan ise çalının önünde durmalıydı. İkiz baykuşlar ağacın yukarısında olmayı seviyorlardı, şaşkın baykuş ise aşağıda olmalıydı yüksekten korkuyordu. Peki yavru aslan nerede duracaktı? Yavru aslan çadırın içinde uyumayı seviyordu. Dalmaçyalı ise çadırın dışında oturmayı seviyordu. Şekilay hayvanları mutlu oldukları yerlere yerleştirdikten sonra bir sonraki bölümü heyecan ve merakla bekledi. 

       Shakilay was very happy to see the animals in the 8th episode. But she didn't understand what to do. Animal friends helped Shakilay and told their places. The pink rabbit should stand behind the bush, and the gray rabbit in front of the bush. Twin owls liked to be above the tree. The baffled owl, on the other hand, must have been below and he was afraid of heights. So where would the lion cub stand? The baby lion liked to sleep in the tent. The Dalmation liked to sit outside the tent. After placing the animal in the places where they were happy, Shakilay waited with excitement and curiosity for the next episode.

Şekilay yarışmanın dokuzuncu maratonunda bir sürü renkli daireler gördü, bunlarla ne yapacağını düşündü. 

İlk baştan zor görünse de , örüntüyü ve ne yapması gerektiğini iyi biliyordu. 

İlk kırmızı daireyi koydu, daha sonra sarı daireyi , böylece kırmızı, sarı , kırmızı , sarı koyarak oyunu başarıyla tamamladı. Diğer bölüme geçmek için sabırsızlanıyordu.

Shakilay saw a bunch of colored circles in the ninth marathon of the competition, wondering what to do with them.

Although it seemed difficult at first, he knew the pattern and what to do.
