Sophie wakes up with the sunshine in her room. She gets up from her bed and washes her hands and face. After the breakfast, entering the room, she looks at the calendar.That day is 22nd April. She runs to the living room  and screams "Tomorrow is 23rd April. I am going to Turkey."

"Oh! How can we forget?" says her father. Sophie and her mother starts to prepare her suitcase. Suddenly, Sophie has an idea and wants her friend, Tommy, to come with her. But is it possible? She calls and talks to him.

- Hello! I'm Sophie. How are you, Tommy?

- Ah , Sophie! I am fine,  thank you. And you?

BERRAK NAZ

- Thank you. I’m very happy because I am going to Turkey to celebrate Children's Day! Do you want to come with me, too?

- Really? Great idea. I want to come, too. But we should ask my parents and our teacher.

Tommy talks to his teacher and family. And they let him go.

Sophie and Tommy want to buy gifts to their Turkish friends but they can’t decide what to buy. Sophie thinks there should be a reminder of their country so they go shopping together and buy lots of gifts.

ESMANUR

They both sleep early that night. The next day, they meet at the airport and fly to Ankara, Turkey. Sophie And Tommy meet Gülhan Teacher and her students Berrak Naz, Selin, Esmanur, Necip Yağız and Duru in Turkey. They all go to the festival area. There are lots of children from different countries. They meet and introduce themselves.

First, Elif introduces herself. "Hello everybody! Welcome to our country. I am Elif I am 10 years old. I can speak English very well."    

"Thank you Elif. Nice to meet you. I am Spohie. I am from England. I am English. I am 10 years old. I can speak two languages. This is Tommy. He is my schoolmate. He  is also from England. He is 11 years old. He can speak English and French." says Sophie.

NECİP YAĞIZ

Finally, Akira introduces himself. "Hello, I am Akira. I am eleven years old. I speak English, French and a little Turkish. - Teşekkürler-"

All children smile and they all shout at the same time "Nice to meet you, too."

Meanwhile, groups start to perform their dances on the stage one by one. Then Elif and Ahmet go on the stage and perform their dances. Sophie and Tommy love their dance and ask "What  is the name of this dance?" "Zeybek" answer the other kids. When Elif and Ahmet get off the stage, Sophie,Tommy and Akira congratulate them. 

SELİN

After the ceremony in the hall, there is a suprise for Sophie, Tommy and Akira. they get on the buses and  they all go to Anıtkabir together . "Atatürk is a great leader. He gave us the Children's Day as a gift. This is his mausoleum "says Ahmet . Sophie,  Tommy and Akira are so happy to visit Atatürk. 

After the visit, everyone leaves and goes home . Sophie  goes with Elif, Tommy goes with Ahmet and Akira goes with Berk. Sophie comoes home with Elif and meets her family.

DURU

"Welcome to our country and our home." says Elif's mother. "My name is Canan . What is your name?" "I am Sophie. Nice to meet you." answers Sophie. Sophie talks about her family and asks a lot of questions  abaut Turkey. Elif  and her family answer  them. After dinner , Sophie gives Elif and her family the gifts she bought. Elif feels very happy and they have a lovely evening together.

But the next day, Sophie and her friend must go back to their country so they go to bed early. They wish to meet again the next year.

It is one of Sophie’s usual days. She gets up at 7 in the morning. She washes her face and hands. ‘Good morning!’ she says. They have breakfast with their family. She eats cheese,olives,eggs and bread for breakfast and drinks milk. She brushes her teeth after breakfast. She combs her hair and gets dressed. Picks up her bag and leaves home for school.

When she gets out the house, she is suprised that she is in a different place than usual. It is not the world. She begins to walk in curiosity. The park near their house is not there.His friends are not on the street she starts to get scared but at the same time wonders where she is at first she begins to fear but also wonders where she is. Creature asks,"This is Mars."Sophie replies."Why am ı here?While thinking,the creature tells her,"Hello my name is Hiko.I am from Mars.What's youre name?"She asks Sophie says"Hello my name is Sophie.I am from Earth."Hiko and Sophie meet and sophie loves him very much.She forgets she's not even on Earth. She has a friend.

They chat.

 Hiko, are you going to school?

 Yes, Shophie but my classes start at 2 in the afternoon. It ends at 6 o'clock. "

 "What do you do after school?"

 I do my homework after I come home. I am resting and having dinner with my family. What about you ?"

 I also do my homework and read a book. I am having dinner at 7 o'clock. After listening to music, I sleep at 9.30 "

 After chatting, Shophia said, "Shall we play hide-and-seek?" "What is hide and seek?" He asks and wonders. Shophia “it's a game, close your eyes and count to 20. Then you try to find me a "great idea" and they start playing. Hiko closes her eyes and starts counting "one, two, three… nineteen, twenty." shophie where are you? I can not find you

 Hiko can't spare Shophie. Shophie won the game.

    DEFNE

    YAĞMUR

They play many games and spend time together. They go to the park, tell each other stories. Suddenly Sophie realizes it is late and asks;

"Hiko, what time is it?"

"It is half past five."

“No, I'm late. I have to go home. My mother wonders. Nice to meet you, Hiko. "

“Nice to meet you too, Sophie. See you. Take care of yourself."

"See you, Hiko."

Sophie, thinks it’s a wonderful day on her way  home. She has a new friend and she really loves him .When she thinks about it, she suddenly loses her way.This is not their way home .There’s no one around to ask. She gets very scared and starts to cry. Her mother says, ‘Sophie, wake up. You’re late for school!’ And  open her eyes. Unfortunately every think is a dream .Actually, Sophie regrets that this is a dream. Sophie’s mom ‘ Sophie, why are you sad ?’ asks .

    BERRAKSU

Sophie tells her dream.After chatting with her mother,she gets ready to go to school.Sophie never forgets this dream and Hiko will always   remain a good friend to her.

It is a snowy day. Everywhere is white. The trees are like a bride. Sophie and her friends are very happy. They play snowball and they make a snowman. They are not aware of coldness and time.

Next morning when Sophie's mom comes her room she sees Sophie is still in her bed. It is not usuall. Because she always gets up at seven o'clock. There is

something wrong.

EFE

Sweety, what is the matter with you?

Oh mummy, I don't feel well. I am cold. I can't get up.

Then we should go to hospital to see a doctor.

Sophie and her mom are waiting in the waiting room in the hospital. There are a lot of ill people. There is a boy. He has a bad cough. There is a girl  she has a headache. Sophie is very sorry.

ELA

Look mommy! The man has broken arm.

What is the matter with you?

I have a fever.

Doctor: What is the matter with you Sophie?

Sophie: I don't feel well, I am cold.

Doctor examines Sophie and tells her: Sophie you have a bad cold, you should take vitamins and stay in bed for a week. You should take syrup and painkiller. I hope you will get well soon.

Sophie: Thank you.

MUSTAFA ANIL

I should take syrup and painkiller, 

I should stay in bed.

Sophie stays in bed, for a week. She takes vitamins, eats fruit and does everything the doctor says. She is getting better. She is sorry because she can't go to school and she can't play outside. She misses her friends.

TUANA

Sophie is very happy today. Because she has guests. Tom and Marry are at Sophie's room. They are very sorry for Sophie. They have flowers for her. They wish she will get well soon and she will be with them at school.

Sophie is feeling very well today. She is going to school with her friends early in the morning. She knows that she shouldn't wear thin clothes in cold and snowy days. Because she can be ill. Being ill is a bad thing.

Sudenaz,Eflin, Hüseyin, Muhammed Ali, Hazal Sude and Sophie are close friends. They like doing different activities together.They sometimes go to the cinema on Sundays becouse they don’t go to school on Sundays and they get bored at home.

There are two great movies on Sunday.First one is Finding Dory.It' abaout a fish called Dory.Another one is Dumb and Dumber 

Great,we can choose one of them but how abaout invinting other friens?

Of course,that sounds good.

Next day, the children plays at the playground.Sophie comes and she wants to talk about her friends about going to the cinema.

Sophie invites her friends to go to the cinema and says “ Would you like to go to the cinema? There are three films at the cinema; Finding Dory, it’s about a fish called Dory and its adventures.The other film is Dumb and Dumber.It is a comedy film.Which one do you like?

HÜSEYİN

Hazal Sude: Oh,no !Sophie you know I don’t like animations becaouse they are so boring!

Sudenaz: I like comedy movies,I think we can watch it.

Hüseyin: I agree with Sudenaz,I think animations are childish.

Muhammed Ali: What about watching Dumb and Dumber ,I think it is entertaining.

They come home after the shopping. But they don't want Sophie to see the prepations. Because it will be a suprise party.

Mother: Let's decorate the room, girls.

Emily: Ok, mum.

Lisa: Sure.

They begin the preparations.

Lisa: Let's call Sophie.

Mother: Emily, can you call her?

Emily: Of course, mum.

Sophie comes home and feels happy when she see the party room.

Two hours later.

Later,mum,dad and sisters celebrate Sophie's birthday.They eat birthday cake,sing song,dance and play board games.

Sophie gets up early because she is going to an animal shelter with her mother today.

DİCLE

There are a lot of dogs there. Sophie loves the dogs and she asks her mum:

Mom, can I feed the dogs?

Sure, Sophie.

And Sophie is feeding the dogs now.

YUSUF

And, there are lots of cats at the animal shelter. Now, she is playing ball with the kittens.

But her mom isn't here.

Because she is a vet. And she is helping a rabbit now. The rabbit has got a broken leg.

CANER

And she is giving seeds to the birds, now. She is very happy because her favourite animals are the birds. There is even a peacock.

Sophie is asking her mom: 

   Mom, can we adopt a bird? I love birds very much.

Oh, that's a good idea dear. And let's donate some money, too.
