Juliet and Joey playing in Joey's house.

It was a normal day, just like any other; or at least, that's how it
started out. Joey and his friend, Juliet, were happily playing in his
house, when she came up with a mischievous idea. She had the
brilliant plan to explore the mysterious and gloomy forest beyond the
house. The adventurous boy thought this was the perfect plan to
disobey his mother, and wander through the forbidden forest.

The two kids quietly collected supplies for their journey and put
them in a backpack. They sneaked out the door, without Joey's mother
seeing. While running to the nearby forest, the two kids were stopped
by the Rocky River, which got it's name from the huge rocks that filled
it.
As the two kids were hopping from rock to rock, Juliet said
excitedly, "I wonder what type of creatures are in there!"
"I don't know," Joey said with a grin on his face, "maybe some elves,
fairies, or even spiders."
"I HATE spiders!" Juliet replied with a disgusted face.
When Joey and Juliet finally crossed the river, and got to the edge
of the forest, they became more excited that ever; they didn't know what
was going to be inside, but they were ready to find out.

Juliet and Joey crossing the Rocky River.

After they explored some of the vast forest, the pair decided they
needed to take a break to eat their lunch. As they were eating, Juliet
was looking through the trees, and noticed a small cottage.
"Look over there Joey! there's a cottage, maybe a witch lives there!"
she yelled with enthusiasm.
"Cool! Lets go check it out," he replied back with some excitement.

Lunch time near the cottage.

When they got closer to the cottage, they realized
that it was abandoned; it was covered in vines, rotten
wood, and shattered windows. They tried opening the
door, but it wouldn't budge. Joey and Juliet looked
around the house for another opening, but they couldn't
find another door, so they crawled in through the window.
"Be careful coming in, there's broken glass all over
that could cut you," Joey warned Juliet before she went
inside.
what is it like inside Joey?

Joey exploring the inside of the house

The kids found nothing inside. Sadness came,
and they decided to go home after their long day of
exploring. Just as they were about to leave the
cottage, a cord from the ceiling fell; it was the
staircase to the attic. The two kids became excited
because of what they had found. Joey didn't know if
they should go up and explore the attic, because
the sun was going to set soon. But his curiosity took
over; inside the attic were tons of boxes, but nothing
interesting was inside them.

There was one thing that caught the children's
eyes though; a large and old looking mirror was
at the far wall. They walked over to it, but as
they did Juliet tripped and fell INTO the
mirror!

Joey wasn't looking and didn't know where she went, so he called her name
repeatedly.
“JULIET! JULIET! WHERE ARE YOU?” he said over and over again.
“Joey! I’m over here! I somehow fell into the mirror!” she replied perplexed.
He walked over to the mirror, and didn't see a reflection of himself, but only saw
Juliet on the other side. Joey couldn't help but walk into the mirror, meeting Juliet.
The children were confused by something so amazing; a mirror that you could
walk into, yet nothing was different on the other side, or so they thought. Joey and
Juliet walked out of the cottage and started to go back home. When they walked
outside everything was still the same, but when Juliet looked up into the sky, she
saw a bird as big as a car! She’d never seen something so amazing, and by the
appearance of it hovering, she assumed it was a hummingbird.
Finding the giant hummingbird.

“Joey, look!’ she yelled while pointing up.
“Is that a hummingbird?” he gasped.
The two tried to follow it, but quickly got lost in the forest.
They didn't know where they were or which direction to go.

Out of no where, a bear bounced out from the bushes. The two kids
became very frightened, but soon realized that the bear wasn’t so scary
after all. The reason they weren’t scared is because the bear wasn’t any
normal bear, it was actually very tiny.

Bumping into Bane the brilliant Bear.

“Who are you?” the bear politely asked them, “are you lost?”
“D-d-did that bear just talk to us?” Juliet said with fear and confusion.
“I-I think it did,” Joey replied back with the same reaction.
“Well, of course I did, who else would have?” he said, “oh, and by the way, my
name is Bane. Bane the brilliant bear.”

“Would you mind showing us the way out?” Juliet asked Bane politely.
“Of course I can, but that depends on where you’re going.”
“We need to get back to my house,” Joey said quickly, “ it’s by the river that flows
along the forest.”
“No problem, but we must get there before dark,” he said with worry in his voice,
“terrible creatures come out at night.”
With that the three took off, hoping to get home quickly. As Juliet, Joey, and Bane
were walking and darkness was getting nearer, a sound was coming from above
them. It was a buzzing sound, and didn't seem too harmful; but it was.

With that the three took off, hoping to get home quickly. As Juliet,
Joey, and Bane were walking and darkness was getting nearer, a sound
was coming from above them. It was a buzzing sound, and didn’t seem
too harmful; but it was.Giant mosquitoes buzzed and flew above them
looking for food. As soon as the bear saw the mosquitoes he told Juliet
and Joey to run and follow him.

Running into the mosquitoes.

The mosquitoes chased them around the maze of trees, with their stingers
ready. While jumping over a log, Juliet’s jacket got caught on a branch and she
fell over, with the mosquitoes right behind her. One of them trapped her in
place and got ready to suck her blood. As the mosquito was doing that, Joey
stopped and found a sharp stick on the ground, which he used to attack the
mosquito with. The mosquito wailed in pain and backed off, but only for a slight
moment. The two kids only needed a moment though, to get back up and
continue running away.

They followed Bane to a light blue and clear lake. He told them to
jump in and swim to a small underwater cave just below, because
mosquitoes couldn't swim underwater. As the trio swam underwater
they saw amazing creatures; tiny sharks, tiny dolphins, and large fish.
Once they got to the underwater cave, they were finally safe.

The creature filled lake.

The giant squirrel.

When morning came, it was safe enough to go out into the forest again, continuing
on the way home. They followed the river, which flowed out of the lake, and
eventually became the Rocky River. Joey had found a suspicious pile of nuts to eat,
but after examining them they seemed to be okay. They were all finally happy and
calm, with no worries; but that would soon change. The nuts belonged to one of the
forest’s giant squirrels, which made it very angry. The squirrel went on a hunt for his
food, and quickly found a path of footsteps leading away from the pile.
