Earth Day is an international event for sustainability and environmental protection. 

World Earth Day was born on April 22nd 1970.

Earth Day event sees the participation of many people, together for the same goal: to protect the planet. 

This year the programming of events is affected by the general lockdown due to the Coronavirus emergency, but there are a lot of events planned for this Day. 

All born with the aim of raising public awareness on ecosystem problems related to climate change and the exploitation of man.

And Italy is not an exception.

Students from class  II B of   “J. F. Kennedy” Secondary school in  Cusano Mutri, BN Italy wants to dedicate  some poems to the Earth.

We wrote them with love and kindness.

My dear beautiful Earth,

magnificent and maternal

place of freedom and peace,

I turn my gaze to admire you

and calmly contemplate you. 

I am attracted 

by your thousand beauties and 

My heart beats for you.

 When I look at you 

you arouse joy and freedom in me, 

you emanate perfume and beauty 

far from the harsh reality.

The harmony of colours

fills our hearts with joy,

The harmony of sounds

relieves our worries,

The harmony of relationships

brings peace to the nations,

the harmony of the ecosystem

makes us live in a healthy atmosphere.
