Childhood
When I was a child
There you were smiling at me
As if time was endless
I hear your voice near
As if your playing with me
But it is all memories
Remember our past
Ran so fast to fly our kite
Raced to see who won
pg.3
My frightful fearful
father got a call.
We recklessly rushed
rapidly to the car
while my dad seems
suddenly sad and I
couldn't consider even comprehending what was happening. We drove on the freeway fleeting fast as possible to find my mother and my sisters. We arrived frantically fearful yet foolishly not knowing what is near. I remarkably remember vividly realizing the rear of the car blown off completely. My sisters in two ambulances and the side of the freeway my mother clumsily carelessly crying historically. I was only a kid at the time and only felt lonely lost and lifeless. Shortly after we went to the hospital and I was left in a
room alone while my parents
fleed freely fastly to my sisters
side. Moments later my father
comes back to me bringing back
bad breaking news, he kneeled on
one knee and told me my oldest
sister Danielle was no longer with us.

Ode to Danielle
I miss you Danielle so dearly
Your smile as bright as the sun
Skin smooth as butter
Your laughter ringing like bells
I miss it all as if you were never gone
Nothing can compare to you
Nothing at all
You are food of the god a king of riches
You were always the sweetest like candy
I will always miss you Danielle
pg.5
The only people who think there’s a time limit for grief
have never lost a piece of their heart
Take all the time you need they say
It feels as if I am a sheep without a sheperd
No way to escape this reality
With losing a sister you lose hope
But with time passing you learn to cope
There would be days when I felt every breathe was my last
I flirted with death more times times than I can count
Growing up never got easier
Learning to leave the past in the past like nothing ever happened
As if there was no meaning to life as if it was wasteland
Day by Day with my journey
I stubbled upon you my lord and savior
Brighter then the sun and strong as the almighty
Giving me hope that maybe I can see my love ones one day
I promise myself to my sister that we will be together one day
