This book is dedicated to my amazing granny, Deborah on her birthday. Happy birthday, Granny!
It is also dedicated to my teacher, Mrs. Leacock-Sargeant, who always challenges her students to be the smartest boys and girls in the universe. Happy birthday, Miss!

Once upon a time in the deep blue sea lived Mosasaur.
She was a gigantic reptile that looked like a crocodile with fins instead of legs.
Mosasaur always dreamt of becoming a beautiful hummingbird. She liked their tiny little wings that fluttered so quickly.
One day her friend, Sea Horse, told her about the underwater wizard. His name was Mustapha. Mustapha granted wishes to sea creatures. His only charge was, "Bring me diamonds, bring me rings. Bring me sparkly shiny things!"

So Mosasaur and Seahorse left their village to find Mustapha.
"What will you take him?", asked Seahorse.
"Oh, I'll find something along the way!", answered Mosasaur.

They swam a short distance when Mosasaur saw something behind a clump of seaweed. It looked shiny. "Ah-ha!", she said, but it was only a mirror.
They continued swimming. Mosasaur kept her eyes peeled to the seabed for some sort of trinket that would please Mustapha.

Just as she was about to give up and turn back, Mosasaur saw a weird-looking object behind some rocks.

She used her long mouth to push away the rocks and there it was.... a treasure chest. Seahorse got excited. He watched eagerly as Mosasaur gnawed at the box.

When she finally got it opened, she gasped with delight. The chest was filled with jewelry. Mosasaur was so happy with her find. She thought about the many things she could request from the wizard. She could be a different animal every day!

She decided to take the big diamond to Mustapha. She hid the chest back under the rocks where it was before. "Let's go Seahorse!", called Mosasaur but she heard no reply. She looked around. Seahorse was nowhere in sight.

Mosasaur heard a faint sound. When she looked down she saw Seahorse on the seabed. He was pinned to the ground by one of the rocks. Mosasaur rushed to help her dear pal.

"Seahorse! Are you okay?" yelled Mosasaur. But Seahorse only groaned in pain. Mosasaur felt awful. It was her fault that her friend got hurt.
"I... see... a bright light..." Seahorse sputtered.
"No! Don't go into the light! Hang on Seahorse! I'll take you to the wizard. He'll save you!"
