Once upon a time there was a girl named Lily. Lily lived with her parents, grandparents and her best friend, Lester: Her dog.

It was lunch time. Lily smelt something really tasty, so she decided to ask her mom what it is.

What are you making, mom?

It's a surprise. While I cook, you can go and do some yard work.

Okay.

While she was doing yard work, she noticed a big bunch of grass was missing!

Mother never let anybody dig this area up! And now the grass is gone?! What happened here? 

Woof Woof!

Oh, thank you for telling me, Lester! There is a piece of paper stuck a little under the dirt!

Here's some things I want you to know: 

Dinner is you favourite chicken soup and........You have to guess!!

For your yard work, only please plant next to the tree. I am going to put grass over here again. 

I never let you dig this up and plant because it's near the fence. It looks ugly if it is always bald.  

I have more things to tell you....

It's all covered with dirt. I can only see an arrow and "Dig this up" Dig this up..... I think we should dig this area up!

The other side

So they kept digging until they made a tunnel. Then Lily saw a sky and the words " The other side" So Lily knew that she and Lester had to go through that hole they made to get to the other side.

Then after they went through the hole, they came to a place that was unknown. 

Where are we?

The two just kept walking.

They reached a waterfall with a small spring. Lily was very tired and she drank from that spring and gave some water to Lester. Then they continued walking.

Then they reached a volcano that looked like it erupted millions of years ago. They were about to go when Lester barked.

Ruff! Ruff!

Why are you barking, Lester? Oh, is for that shiny thing? What is it?

Lily tried her best to get it out of the grass.

At last, she got it out.

A pink diamond!? I heard that these were extinct. It must be extremely precious.

She walked through the hot desert, the icy mountain, but no home could she find. Then it became night time so she decided to sleep near some hard thing that she hit.

At day time when she woke up, she found that she was in a village, sleeping at the walls of a house!

Then, Lily saw a villager and she asked where Lily was from. 

Who are you and where are you from?

I am Lily and I am lost. I am from London. Do you know how I can go back?? And which country is this?

This is USA. Please take my second horse to lead you back. She will take you... somehow.

Lily said thank you then boarded the horse. When they reached a desert, Lester barked again.

Woof!
