The panda bear.
This is a panda. It eats bamboo. Most of the pandas live in China. They are carnivores, but they mainly feed on bamboo's. Most of the pandas are black and white, while some of them are red, a little yellow and black with a slight of brown. They rarely attack humans, but even though they are cute, they are still wild and dangerous animals.
Pandas eyes are different from normal bears because like domestic cats, pandas have vertical slits for pupils. Pandas have a large, pad covered bone that helps them grip bamboo. Other bears have this bone, but it is much smaller. Pandas have great camouflage for their environment. Their distinct black and white markings have two functions: camouflage and communication.
Most of the panda - it's face, neck, belly and rump is white to help it hide in snowy habitats. The arms and legs are black, helping it to hide in shade. New born pandas are almost completely unrecognizable. Rather than sporting their iconic black and white markings,, pandas emerge from their mothers as pink, wrinkly, and blind squealing creatures roughly the size of a stick of butter.
An adult panda can eat up to 12-38 kilograms of bamboo per day. They are also good at climbing trees and can also swim. A panda sleeps at 12 a.m. to 4 a.m., eats at 4 a.m. to 6 a.m., rests at 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., eats and walks at 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., slows down period resting at 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and rests and sleeps at 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. They have strong teeth, five "fingers" and one "thumb".
A panda's scientific name is Ailuropoda melanoleuca. The lifespan of a panda is 20 years. Pandas can't be kept as pets because there isn't anywhere you can keep a panda as a pet. Or get you hands on one for that matter. As mentioned above, all the pandas are owned by the Chinese Government and they are not permitting anyone to buy or sell pandas.
They were given the name 'panda' first; roughly fifty years before the black and white variety. They have a false thumb (an extended wrist bone) which has developed over time to help them climb trees and eat bamboo. They're vegetarian carnivores. Though humans apparently ate pandas in prehistoric times, contemporary Chinese have little taste for the
animal. But panda banquets are unheard of. They are certainly too precious to eat, but their flavour might also have kept them off the dinner table. Although they are non-threatening and soft in appearance, pandas are powerful animals symbolic of warriors of Chinese. They represent balance and personal boundaries, patience and wisdom, care and nourishment,
peace and gentleness. But pandas also play a crucial role in China's bamboo forests by spreading seeds and helping the vegetation to grow. The panda's habitat is also important for the livelihoods of local communities, who use it for food, income, fuel for cooking, heating, and medicine. To make matters worse, they can't actually survive by eating normal amounts of
