Julia was 11 years old and in fifth grade. She loved school and her teachers. She was excellent at spelling.

Today at school, Julia's teachers, Mrs. Stephens and Mrs. Johnson had exciting news...
"Well class, we are taking a field trip to the movie theater today," Mrs. Stephens announced.
The whole class was thrilled, including Julia.

Yay!!
The class walked out to bus and boarded it. Mrs. Stephens, Mrs. Johnson, and Julia sat in the front seats. Julia's friends, Ella and Johnny, sat behind them, the rest of the class crowded the back.
Their journey began.

They had arrived at the movie theater! The whole class was ecstatic.
"Movie?" Julia asked her teachers.
"We will start watching the movie in about 10 minutes, don't worry," Mrs. Johnson responded.
The whole class walked in a line into the theater.

All of the students began to sit, Julia sat by Johnny, Ella, and Mrs. Stephens. It got hectic in the theater. Julia's classmates began getting impatient and so was Julia.
Julia was getting frustrated and upset, because she really disliked waiting. Luckily, Mrs. Stephens had Julia's trusty pop-it toy that she loved. Julia was happy.

The movie was finally getting started. Julia was calm with her pop-it, but got distracted by the huge screen. But, it started to get too loud in the movie theater and Julia was overstimulated.
Her classmates looked back telling her to "Be quiet, Julia!" which made her even more upset.
Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Stephens would not tolerate that kind of behavior. Mrs. Johnson spoke to the few complaining students and made them understand that Julia expresses her emotions differently than them and that's okay. They understood.
"We're sorry, Julia," her classmate said to her.
Julia was still pretty upset, Ella and Johnny tried talking to her. But it didn't help any, she was too overstimulated. Mrs. Stephens knew what she needed to do, Julia needed a minute to calm down. Mrs. Stephens wanted to help her student and wanted her to be comfortable. They walked to the lobby and sat down for a few minutes and talked.

I need a break.
