There once was a little ghost named Gregory. Gregory may look like any other spooky ghost, but please don't be afraid! Gregory is the happiest, friendliest ghost you will ever meet!

Gregory lived in the big haunted house at the top of Full Moon Hill with his mom and dad. Gregory was always happy, but today he was especially happy. Tonight was his first ever Halloween night!

My first Halloween is going to be the best night ever! I can't wait to dress up and go trick-or-treating just like the other kids!

Little Gregory had never experienced Halloween before, but he had heard all the wonderful stories of costumes, pumpkins, and candies galore!

As the hour drew near, Gregory couldn't wait to put on his costume and show his mother and father!

Mom! Dad! I have something to show you! Come quickly!

Oh Gregory, how cute! What is all of this for?

Mother and Father ghost loved Gregory's costume, but they were unsure what the occasion was for...

Silly mom! Silly dad! This is my trick-or-treat costume of course!

Gregory chuckled when he heard this.

But Mother and Father ghost looked upset...

Oh, Gregory, honey, we thought you knew... ghosts don't go trick-or-treating... We live in the haunted house, so our job is to put on a spooky show for all the kids... We are so sorry...

But, that can't be right... It's not fair! I want to trick or treat like all of the other kids!

And for the first time, the happy little ghost was very unhappy.

We know, and we are very sorry Gregory... but don't worry! You can wear your costume tonight, and we are sure that the kids will love it!

Gregory wasn't too sure about that, but he helped Mother and Father ghost set up the house and the yard for the show anyway. Halloween night was not what he was hoping for.

When the time came, Gregory sat outside of his house to greet all of the children that came to visit Full Moon Hill. 

He saw all of the children with sparkling costumes and pumpkin baskets filled with delicious candy.
