This book is dedicated to all young children to remind them of the importance of teamwork as they develop essential life skills like problem-solving, listening, leadership, and creative thinking throughout their spooky Halloween adventures.
Happy Halloween!

Emily jumped with glee and twirled in her witch costume.
"I can't believe It's finally Halloween! I've been waiting all year for this!"
Emily's brother Josh joked.
"Gosh, Emily, weren't you a witch last year?"
Emily laughed; nothing could upset her today, not on Halloween!

"I wish Rachel would hurry up with her costume; all the Halloween candy is going to be gone!" Emily waited impatiently by the door, bouncing on her toes.
"Almost done!" Rachel yelled. She came out in her superhero costume, pretending as she could fly.
"Super Rachel is ready for action!"

"Hey, let's do a competition!" Josh said excitedly. "Whoever gets the most candy tonight wins!"
The girls agreed with excitement, and the three went off into the night to their first house.

"Okay, here we are. I'm so going to win this!" Rachel explained.
Rachel was so excited she practically flew up to Mr. Clark's door.
Their neighbor had done a spooky job decorating; it looked like a haunted house!
"You knockā¦" Emily nervously asked Josh.
Josh laughed and rang the doorbell.
Mr. Clark popped out wearing a lobster costume, and the kids giggled. He wasn't scary at all!
"Trick or treat!" the kids exclaimed.
"Well, If it isn't my favorite neighbors! I have plenty of candy for you all!" Mr. Clark said.
After Mr. Clark gave each of them a handful of candy, they then skipped off to the next house!

The next house was Ms. Parker, who was dressed as a fairy.
"Trick or treat!" the kids exclaimed.
"Well, I think these costumes deserve a little bit of fairy magic!" Ms. Parker passed out their candy and then waved her magic wand over their heads.
The kids giggled with excitement and then hurried down the stairs to the next house.

"Should we count the candy that we have so far?" Emily asked.
"How about after Mr. Allan's house?" Rachel suggested. The three of them agreed.
As the kids arrived at Mr. Allan's house, they noticed many pumpkins on his front lawn! There were pumpkins in the windows, on the front porch, in the trees, in the bushes, everywhere!
"Wow! Look at all these cool scary pumpkins!" Josh commented.

The kids hurried their way up the steps and knocked on the door. As Mr. Allan opened the door and was dressed as a pumpkin.
"Trick or treat, we love your pumpkins!" The kids shouted.
Mr. Allan was so happy to receive the compliment; he gave them extra candy and sent them on their way.

"Okay, want to count our candy now?" Josh asked. They sat on the curb, emptied each of their bags into individual piles, and began to count.
"I have 24 pieces!" Josh said excitedly.
"I have 20!" Emily said.
"And I have 23!" said Rachel.
The three of them poured their candy back into their bags.
"We still have a lot of houses left; I bet I'm still going to win!" Emily said with a big smile.
"Oh yeah? We'll see about that!" Josh and Rachel shouted.
