Elvera and Annabelle are two twins who have a love-hate relationship. They have been doing a coordinating costume for all 16 years of their life. This year Elvera is a ghost and Annabelle is a Ghostbuster. On Halloween night they go trick-or-treating only until about seven-thirty because they have a party to get to.  And that's how their problem came to be... .

Annabelle and Elvera arrive at the party and there are so many snacks, drinks, and things to do! They first go over and see their best friend Maggie. They play tons of games, but then all of a sudden, the music stops. They hear a knock at the door. Maggie goes to answer the door and its an old woman who looks about 75 years old. She is dressed up in a witch costume. She's a bit old to be dressing up isn't she?

    "Can I help you?" Maggie asks politely.

    They answer the door and hear the old woman say "I need to pee." 

    Maggie immediately closes the door and says to Annabelle, "Well that was strange." 

    They go back to partying and then 5 minutes later they heard another knock on the door. "I honestly say we should let her in." Annabelle says.

    Maggie looks at Annabelle like she had gone crazy. "NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT." 

       "Fine, then Elvira and I will go home and give her a place to stay." 

     Annabelle replies "Father always did say it's nice to help a homeless person."

Elvira knew Annabelle was right but how would they get her past the twin's mom and dad?

    They finally agree and they settle on Elvira distracting the twin's parents when they get to the twins house. Annabelle and Maggie will bring the witch lady up to the attic. 

    They walk over to the twins house and get ready for the plan to go.

    "I Really appreciate you giving me a place to stay like this." The witch says, creepily.

"Of course! No problem at all!" Annabelle says

    "I'm not so sure about this" Elvira whispers to Maggie.

     When they arrive home, they go straight to the plan... IT SUCCEEDS!! They bring her into the attic and Maggie goes home.

"Girls, I want to ask if you enjoy being twins?"

"Ummm... Most of the time I guess." Annabelle says

"No." Elvira says.

"Everyone ALWAYS gets us mixed up," Elvera adds.

"Honestly I agree," Annabelle says.

"I mean I love you but..."

"Do you want to take a risk?" The witch asks suspiciously...

Annabelle whispers to Elvira, "What if this affects us in a positive way?"

"But what if it affects us in a negative way?" Elvira says.

Were just thinking negative." Annabelle whispers, making sure the witch does not hear.

"Ok, fine." Elvira agrees.

"Let's do it," they say together.

     There was a whoosh of air, a poof of light, and then the witch was gone. Elvira and Annabelle looked at each other and screamed. "AHHHHHH!!!! We don't look like each other!!!!" It was true, not only did they not look like each other, but they looked completely different. And they were both smiling, because of course, they were no longer twins.
