Once there was a poor
miller with a beautiful
daughter. The miller went
to speak to the king and
told said, "I have a
daughter who can spin
straw into gold". The king
told him to bring this
daughter to his palace,
which has a volume of
250,000 cubic meters. And
so, the miller's daughter
was locked in a room and
told that is she could not
spin 50 meters of straw
into gold by daybreak, she
would be killed.

The girl began to cry, for she
didn't know how to spin straw
into gold. After 120 seconds
of weeping, the miller's
daughter found herself face
to face with a short man,
only 90 centimeters tall. The
little man asked the girl what
was wrong, and she
explained her desperate
situation. The dwarf offered
to help her, if she would offer
him something grand. "I'll
give you my 13 gram
necklace," the girl stated.
The short man agreed and
made all the straw into gold
extremely quickly.

The king was very happy to see all of this gold and
requested the daughter to turn 60 meters of straw into
gold. Once again, the little man appeared and this
time, the girl gave him her 7 gram ring. And so, the
man turned all the straw into gold once again.
The king rejoiced and brought the daughter to a room
with 80 meters of straw and told her that if she turns
all of it into gold, she will get to be his wife.

The short man came
once again, but this time
the girl had nothing
more to give.
"Then promise me, if you
become queen, to give
me your first child," the
little man said. The girl
agreed, and all the straw
was turned into gold.
When the king came in
the next morning, he
was ecstatic and
proceeded to make the
miller's daughter his
wife, and therefore the
queen.

One year later, the queen gave
birth to a 3500 gram baby.
Suddenly, the small man came
back and demanded the child.
The queen obviously refused
and begged for the small man
not to take her baby, but he did
not stop telling her to give it to
him. Finally, the man says, "If
you can guess my name in three
days, I will not take your child".
The queen thought of names
the whole night and sent
messengers 50 kilometers in
every direction to search for
new names. No matter which
ones she tried, they were
wrong.

On the final day, one of the messengers cam back to the
queen telling, telling her that he had found no new
names.
However, he did find something of interest.
"In that cold, 15 degree Celsius forest, I saw a ridiculous
90 centimeter tall man jumping around singing a 10
second song that went like so: Today I bake, tomorrow
brew, the next I'll have that young queen's 3.5 kilogram
child, glad am I that no one knew, that Rumpelstiltskin I
am styled!".
