Once upon a time there was a simple car named
Jack. Jack had a nice owner named Sarah. Sarah
took care of Jack and he couldn't be happier.

One day, Sarah came across a new car the she liked
even more than Jack. The car had a perfect coat of
paint, cool rims, and made Jack look old and boring.
Sarah decided that it was time she bought a new car
and decided to name him Will. After getting her new
car, Sarah sent Jack to the junkyard.

Jack was devastated; he refused to talk to anyone else
and kept all of his feelings to himself. Soon Jack
began to blame Sarah’s departure on his appearance
and he started obsessing over how he looked, making
him feel even worse.

One day, Jack decided that he was tired of feeling down. He
drove all around town, making sure that no one spotted
him driving without an owner, and came across what
appeared to be a pile of shiny metal in a ditch. Jack went
close and couldn’t believe what he saw. There were tons of
brand new car rims. Yellow rims, green rims, blue rims with
flames, Jack was thrilled. He started imagining how all of
the different car rims would look on him. He was so happy
that he forgot about Sarah.

The next day, when he woke up in the junkyard, Jack realized
what he was going to do to make himself look better: he was
going to collect cool rims for his tires. Everyday, Jack would
visit the ditch where he found his rims to clean them, count
them, and hide them away from other cars. Jack soon became
obsessed with his rims and they were all that he could think
about.

The town Jack lived in was run by the Butler brothers, Peter
and Sam. They owned the coolest and fastest cars in town
and loved racing. At one of their races, the brothers got into a
fight about who was the better racer. Sam, being the
youngest and most stubborn of the two, reminded Peter of
how he once abandoned his car, Jane, for a newer and more
fashionable car, Nancy, and said that no good racer would
give up on a car that had been so good to them.
“Your cars are full of fake parts. You don’t even know what
it's like to have a real racecar,” Peter answered.

Sam was mad. He stormed off, determined to prove his
brother wrong. He drove all through town, looking for a race
car that would show his brother he was a true racecar driver.
Sam wondered off into parts of town he had never been
before and decided to pull over to ask someone where he was.
However, when Sam got out of his car, he found a ditch full of
shiny, clean tire rims next to the side of the road
“Yes!” Sam said, “This is exactly what I need to make my cars
look racing ready.”
Sam quickly began to pile all of the rims into the back of his
car, before anyone could see him take them .
