Dedicated to my Vincentian history. Also dedicated to mangoes😀

There once was a Vincentian girl called Leah who always craved mangoes. She could eat them morning, noon, and night without stopping. She can’t survive without the taste of that sweet mango juice. Every day, her parents have to buy mangoes for her. She was happy with eating mangoes, because it gives her Vitamin A, B6, and C, therefore she was always healthy with those vitamins.
One day, Leah's parents went out for choir and left her home alone. She was 12 years old, so they knew that she could handle herself being left alone. Bored, Leah went to her neighbor to stay until her parents came, but little did she know, her mouth would be having dinner. She entered her neighbor’s house, greeted her, and explained that her parents weren't home and she allowed her to stay.

She felt hungry so she went to the kitchen only to see the ripest, juiciest, and most good-looking mangoes she had ever seen in her entire life. Tempted, Leah took 9 out of the 10 mangoes out of her neighbor’s bowl. As the neighbor walked into her kitchen, her eyes lit as she saw all her fresh mangoes were gone. “Ah wey mi mango dem gawn?'' The neighbor asked confused. Leah replied “Which mango yuh ah tark bout? Mi nah see nuh mango wen mi com in ya”
Confused, the neighbor walked away. Leah went back into her house to enjoy the sweet mangoes she had just stolen. When she was finished with her mangoes, she throw away the skin and the seeds into the bushes to hide that she stole anything. Her parents came back and and asked what she was doing in the house while they were gone. Later on Leah made herself some dinner.

Her parents didn’t suspect anything fishy about her behavior. It was dark so Leah fell asleep. The next few days, Leah’s parents went to choir again, and she went with her neighbor. She explained to her neighbor and told her that her parents left for choir. The neighbor invited her into her house. Leah felt hungry and again saw the ripest, juiciest, and most good-looking mangoes she had ever seen. Again, she stole 9 out of the 10 mangoes in the basket.
