Once upon a time, there was a common little village,
with common little people.
One day, a beautiful little
baby girl was found on the
edge of the village, so they
adopted her and named her
Arabella. As she grew up, she
became more and more
beautiful, and more and more
grumpy every day.

The village children were so kindto Arabella. And the village grown-
ups were always so kind to Arabella.
But Arabella was always mean and
grumpy. The village children came
back again and again to ask her to
come and play, but she always told
them "I'm too pretty for you!" and
stayed home by herself.
5

Finally, one day, when the village children invited her to come play, she exclaimed;
I've had enough!I am much too
pretty to be with
you people; You
don't deserve to
be my friends!
6

And so Arabella left the common
little village for
something more
extraordinary,
something that
deserved her.

7

The first place she came to on her journey, was a swamp. It smelled
like stinky socks and was all yucky
and wet. The ogres were nice people,
but Arabella was not impressed.
Once again she exclaimed

8

I am much too prettyto be with you people;
You don't deserve
to be my friends!
and she continued on her journey...9

Next, Arabella came to a hot, hot desert.
Sand got in her ears
and nose and shoes
and hair, and the
animals had no pretty
colours! Again she
exclaimed;

10

I am much too prettyto be with you people;
You don't deserve
to be my friends!And so Arabella kept
walking. She walked
all the way to the ocean.
11

Once again, Arabella was disappointed. The sea people
were almost as beautiful as her,
but they had tails like the slimy
fish that she did not like. For
the third time she exclaimed;

12

I am much too pretty to be with you
people; You don't
deserve to be
my friends!

13

After the sea, Arabella arrived on a pirate ship. The pirates had tones of money, but many were missing
eyes, hands or legs. She just couldn't take it! She
exclaimed;

14

I am much too pretty to be with
you people; You
don't deserve
to be my friends!
15

Arabella's next disappointment wasan enchanted forest. The dwarfs'
beards were too long, and the fairies
were much too small. Again she exclaimed;

16

I am much too pretty to be with
you people; You
don't deserve to
be my friends!

17

Arabella visited a valley, but the cyclopes living
there only had one eye! So
of course, she exclaimed;

I am much too prettyto be with you people;
You don't deserve
to be my friends!
