Once upon a time, in a specific fairy realm - where fairy tales like princes, princesses, magic, and so on were reality - that country was controlled by an extraordinarily strong and powerful ruler. He had an extremely beautiful and talented queen, but they still haven't had a kid after many years.

There was a rule in that country that said magic could not be used to generate life, so the king secretly signed a contract with a witch (who was not bound by the law) that he wished to have a kid.
"Venerable King, you will have a lovely and brilliant child to follow you, but you will give me one request, and that is to be made queen," the witch said. He didn't want to sign this contract, but there was no other option, so he added further condition: "But it has to be after my child is born."

Soon after, the queen fell pregnant and gave birth to a lovely young princess, just as the witch had predicted.

To commemorate this, the king and queen hosted a lavish luncheon, inviting all of the kingdom's subjects. The celebration went off without a hitch, but then a cloud of blue smoke arrived, leaving everyone perplexed and concerned, and a gigantic shadow stood at the entrance.

That was the sorceress. She was dressed elegantly and had a magnificent crown on her head.
" Haha, people, I'm your new queen as of today. The monarch has made a bargain with me; he has the kid, and I have the throne." - She smiled triumphantly.
No one could believe it, their great monarch had to rely on a lowly witch? Everyone cursed her after that, and even the king urged her to go.

She became enraged and took out a fire contract, which quieted everyone. The contract of fire proved that what she claimed was genuine, but the monarch refused to accept it since he desired a prince, not a princess.
"Dear King, you simply informed me it was a kid, not a son. And because you breached the pact, you must be cursed." She gave a sly grin.

The kingdom was cursed as a result of that event: everyone was turned to stone, the witch set traps around the kingdom to make it a haunted and forgotten land, and the poor Princess was locked in the palace by the witch with a dragon that always hovered guarding this land that no one dared to approach.

After a long time, the princess grew up to be just what the witch predicted, talented and lovely enough to make the flowers envious. However, she was alone in the palace. She created a hidden route beneath the palace to escape boredom, but she could only walk beyond the city wall to the flower garden since the other side of the river dividing the flower garden was a big desert region.

However, one day, a prince was soaring over the country on a phoenix when he was ambushed by a dragon and crashed inside this forgotten palace. The prince was unharmed, but his phoenix soared away, and he had no idea where he was.
He roamed about the palace till he heard a human voice and saw a beautiful female. After asking, the prince discovered that she was a princess and that a terrible witch who had been imprisoning her was residing here. As a result, the prince proposed getting her out of here.

When they arrived at the wall, the prince offered to carry the princess over it, but she declined. "I regularly climb over here to play in the flower garden," the princess explained. The princess then scaled the massive wall by herself aided by the vines that surrounded it. Her power astounded the prince.

The prince was taken aback when he arrived at the flower garden because it was so beautiful. It was so enthralling that the viewer wanted to remain forever just to see them. The princess, on the other hand, was adamant that the witch may return at any time.

On the way, they came upon a dwarf who was stranded in a pit. They were drawn in by the dwarf's pathetic cries. They attempted to assist the dwarf, but he leaped up and hit them on the head. They continued on, but not long after, they heard the plea for aid again.

It was the same dwarf that had been trapped in the hole previously. The princess wanted to aid the dwarf again, but the prince thought, "You deserve it!" and didn't want to help that ungrateful fellow any more. There was no other option; the princess had to pull the dwarf out of the pit by herself, but then he leaped up and smacked her on the head again. The prince was perplexed as to why she did this. "It can't be that because people treat me terribly and I treat them the same way," the princess added.

They eventually arrived at a big river that they couldn't cross. When they were at a loss for what to do, a boat emerged, piloted by a dwarf.
"Ah, so you two." It was shown to be the dwarf from before.
"Can you assist us in crossing the river?" inquired the princess.
"Why should I assist you two?" he inquired.
"We've already helped you twice; now you should help us!" said the prince.
He nodded and escorted them across the river.

"Why did you attack me after I helped you?" the princess said as they crossed the river.
"That's how dwarfs say thank you," he said.
"So it is," the princess said.
After passing over, the princess softly kissed the dwarf on the cheek and murmured, "And this is how we thank you." The dwarf flushed and walked away.

The princess and prince resumed their trek across a desert that was devoid of sand but rich in small gold particles. They continued on their journey till they came to a statue. The statue abruptly issued a terrifying voice.
"Those humans, I am the protector of this area. You must answer my quiz.
If you're correct, you'll be permitted to pass, but if you're incorrect, you'll be forced to become a part of this desert."

The princess was terrified, but the prince was not; instead, he fearlessly challenged the statue. "All right, don't be frightened; it's only a problem."
Then, in a menacing voice, the statue spelled out the puzzle: "You have just three chances to respond. .Pay close attention to it. What did you have that you utilized and then ran out of, but you never touched or saw?"

The prince and princess were both amazed at how difficult the problem was. After a brief pause, the prince firmly responded: "It's pure gold. If a ruler instructs a servant to buy gold for him, the gold is his, but he does not touch it."
"It's wrong because you witnessed it, didn't you?"

After a while, he had a fresh idea: "It's time. I can't touch it or see it."
"Wrong. You can't take up all of your time."
After some time, the princess had an idea. "Is the answer yesterday?" she blurted.
"You got it. You can go now."

The princess exhaled in satisfaction, and the prince praised her cleverness. The two arrived in the gloomy woodland after crossing the desert. The prince stated that this was the Dark Forest; he had heard that it was full of spirits, therefore no one dared to approach. The princess was a little terrified, but she stepped inside with the prince.
