Thank you for always believing in me

Aeress jumped out of bed and put on her schools uniform. She was ready to start her first day of broom flying classes. Her Mother wished her good luck on her way out of the door.
I don't need goodluck, Aeress thought walking down the path, I'm going to ace this!
She was confident in her abilities, even though she struggled in most of her classes. She just knew this was going to be her thing.

Totally!
Excited?
Aeress met up with her friend, Celice, on her way to school.
"Are you excited for broom flying class?" asked Celice.
"Super, I know I'm going to do good!" Aeress responded, jumping in the air.
"I thought you would have been nervous." Her friend said relieved.
"Why?" Aeress said then let out a laugh.
"Because if you fail this class you'll be transferred out of witch school." Celice glanced at her friend. Aeress walked a bit slower, she had almost forgot.
All throughout the school day Aeress was no longer excited to go to her new broom flying class. She kept thinking she was going to fall off of her broom, or even worse-not get off the ground at all. In potion class she could barley pay any attention to the teachers new lesson, which made her worry even more.

Today we are learning about anti-gravity potions!

"Don't worry," Celice said as they walked outside into the courtyard, "you are going to do fine."
I am not going to do fine, Aeress thought to herself. She was sweating bullets as they reached the area in the courtyard where they would be learning how to fly brooms.
"Good afternoon class." The broom flying teacher, Mrs. Leta, greeted the group of students, "Are we ready to learn how to fly today?"
Everyone in the class responded yes and were eager to get their own broom, everyone except Aeress.

Ready to learn how to fly?
Yes!
Yes!
Yes!

After Mrs. Leta gave the basic instructions on how to get off the ground, she decided to let the students try to do it themselves. First she called on Celice to try. Celice looked over at Aeress with a worried face then turned back towards the teacher. She got off of the ground with a shaky start but succeeded. The class applauded and Celice came back down with a giant grin on her face.
"Aeress, your turn." Mrs. Leta said after praising Celice.
Aeress, more nervous than before, tried to get off the ground but instead fell flat on her back. The class laughed, but she didn't find it funny. She was a failure.

Celice comforted Aeress on the way home, which didn't help much since Celice was trying to hide her smile from flying for the first time.
"Should we get together to study tomorrow for potions class?" Celice asked.
"Sure, I don't even know what's going on right now." Aeress responded.
They parted ways and Aeress went home to her room where she started crying. She didn't want to be transferred to a normal school. What am i going to do, Aeress thought. Then it hit her, she could make an anti-gravity potion to lift her off of the ground. It was perfect, and they had just covered that potion in class today.
The following day, Aeress snuck into the potions classroom during her free period. She looked at her notebook for the ingredients list and there were scribbles all over the pages. Most of the anti-gravity potion notes were intact though, she just had trouble making out one word.
"Mushrooms? Muleworts?" Aeress listed the ingredients she knew it might be, and decided on putting in muleworts. It sounded right, and as she plopped in the muleworts the potion looked right too, "I'm a genius!" She yelled quietly so that no one could hear her from outside the classroom.

"You look excited." Celice said confused, "What happened between last broom class and now?" she laughed. They were waiting for their broom class to start in the courtyard.
"Nothing." Aeress said trying to hide her smile, "I just realized I was being ridiculous yesterday and I'm ready for a fresh start."
"Okay." Celice said, suspicious of Aeress' new found attitude.
Mrs. Leta walked into the courtyard ready to start the class, and started calling on students to practice their flying. Aeress grew slightly nervous but she knew her potion was going to work.
