"Being a boy, I roamed the woods" by Mihai Eminescu
And I often slept by the spring,
And I put my right arm under my head
I can hear how the water sounds - slowly...
And a smell came sleepy,
Thus, I stayed all night,
Softly lulled by the voice waves.

Branch of the pine and tongue of fish little brother of the cloud!
Near you, you saw a wet pebble turning white, you heard a reed whistle.
The most bare landscapes you have known, the most colorful.
Deep-deep the sparos' walk, high-high of the little church, the hat
and over and over a steamer with red fougères.
Child with scraped knee haimali crazy jaw stubborn.
Airy pants, bosom of stone. Little dude of the white cloud!

The students of the 3rd grade read together the poem ”Autumn rhapsodies” by George Topîrceanu
First a breeze passed
On top of the vineyards,
He stole his from the hills
Dandelion fluff.
With long lyre chords
The fields answered him.
All the flowers whisper,
Turning their faces.

Sleepy birds...by Mihai Eminescu
Sleepy birds
At the nests they gather,
They hide in the branches-
Good night!
Only the springs sigh,
While the black code is silent;
The flowers in the garden also sleep
Rest in peace!
The swan passes over the waters
Between the reeds to sleep-
May your angels be near
Sweet slee

I have a beautiful little hometown
I eat bread everyday.
I have a brother, a mother and a father,
Green yard to run.
My track is warm, sunny,
It leads through the fields, the meadow is full of flowers.
Hundreds of warblers are singing in the garden here,
I love Lithuania - I am Lithuanian.

Nature Love
Let's not pollute nature.
Let's not cut down trees.
Let's love animals.
This world is all ours.
Yellow green blue,
These are the colors of nature.
Let's protect nature,
Let's keep the world alive.

Agreement with a tree, by Giorgis Krokos.
I have a faithful friend, a tufted tree.
I have made a deal with him, with paper and ink.
Let me give him water. He will give me dance.
I will praise his birds. To tell him “I love you”.
He will give me the fruit. I will hug his trunk.
He can call me his brother too.
And let's live together
as long as I live and as long as he will live.

« Under the snow", by Tellos Agra
Imagine! Oh, what sweet things And then, all of a sudden!
are sleeping under the snow! Look! Oh, roses, jasmines,
The seed is sleeping silently, sweet cherries and golden corn ears!
as its germ grows! And the beloved cyclames are thanking
Countless spades are sleeping there, the rocks for keeping them warm
always dreaming of the corn ears! all though Winter!
And the wild burbs, still closed,
are falling asleep among the rocks!
The whole Nature has fallen asleep
under the snow's white sheet!
Until a swallow comes and whispers
a little syllable in her ear!

"Persephone's Nightmare" by Nikos Gatsos
In this poem, Nikos Gatsos urges Persephone not to ascend to Earth, but to remain in Hades. The reason is the environmetal disaster that has been happening in recent decades.
There where the pennyroyal sprouted and wild mint "Persephone"
and the earth sent forth the first of her cyclamen
now villagers haggle for cement
and birds fall dead into the kiln.
There where the initiates joined hands devoutly
before entering the sanctuary
now tourists toss their cigarette ends
and they go to see the brand new refinery.
There where the sea became a blessing
and a benediction was in the rustic sheep’s bleat,
now to the shipyards trucks are hauling empty shapes
iron children and metal plate.
Sleep in the earth's embrace, Persephone,
and never retrace your way to the world’s balcony.

Spring nursery rhyme
The longer the day, the sweeter the evening.
Tomorrow maybe among the grass
the first violet will sprout.
Or first fresh and new purple
Blessed is the first who finds you,
your perfume will tell him,
Spring has come, it is here.
The other gentlemen don’t know
and still in winter they will believe:
maybe people of care,
but their calendar is delayed.

Meeting again [Revedere] - Mihai Eminescu
– Forest friendly and sincere,
How are you today, my dear,
For since I have seen you last
Lots of years have quickly passed
And since far away I've been
Half the world my eyes have seen.
– I do always what I know,
Hear the blizzard bringing woe,
Breaking branches in its race
Covering the waters' face
Snowing up the narrow way
Chasing all my birds away;

The students of the 2nd grade read together «The little river» by Zacharias Papantoniou, "The prince of modern Greek speech", who captured Greek nature on paper.
-Litle river, where do you come from?
-I come from that mountain, over there!
-Who's your grandpa?
-The cloud in the sky!
-Who's your mum?
-The rain!
-Why did you come down here?
-To water the fields and help the watemills go round!
-Hold on for a minute, my little river! Let''s talk!
-I can't! I'm in a hurry! I need to meet to sea!!!

The students of the 3rd grade read together the poem "Prophecy" by Argyris Chionis(1943-2011), a Greek poet & writer.
There will be a time that the sea will dry up
and the ships will turn into caravans.
And our soul into a dessert.
And the seagulls into "pet dreams".
Time will come that the death
will no longer be the sea bottom but the sun.
And nostalgia will no longer be the land but the water.
Then, the dream will change color as well.
It will not be blue any more but yellow!

In the middle of the woods In the middle of the woods
All the birds come out Mihai Eminescu
From a molehill,
In the joyful light,
Light by the pond,
Which in the tall reed
Swinging from where,
It penetrates deep
And the moon and the sun
And of migratory birds,
And the moon and the stars
And the flight of swallows
And the face of my darling.

Mihai Eminescu
Which trembles on the ground,
Where did the furrows come from?
Bent branches hide it.And in my outstretched armsRun, fall on my chest
To remove the veil from your head,
To lift it from my cheek.

Little bug by Elena Farago
Why have you caught me in your fist? /Beautiful child, you do not know /
That I'm also small and that it hurts me /Why are you holding me so badly?/
I'm a child, just like you /And I like to play, too/ And you should feel pity/
For my fear and my crying! /Why do you want to kill me? /Because I have parents, just like you/ And my mother would cry for me, /And my poor sisters would cry,/And my father would cry lots and lots/ Because I've been alive for barely three days /Have mercy on them, child/ And leave me be, because I can't bear it anymore!/This is how a little bug cried /In the fist which squeezed it to break it / And the child opened it after/ Nothing of the little bug remained!/It tried to come back alive /Blowing its wings in the wind,/But it fell, broken, onto the ground/ And became motionless forever!/Disgusted by your terrible fact/
You cry in vain, now, child/ So go home and tell/ Your parents about your little stunt./And tell them that from now on, you'd like To protect with kindness, /On your path, any creature/ However insignificant/ And however small it may be!

LETTER
LETTER
Dear unknown friend ,
wherever you come from,
I am waiting for you with a full heart
come to visit me.
If you don't know exactly
where is our country
the first one you meet
ask him like this:
Uncle, please
where is it some land born in fire,
in battles freed,
some country with forests and mountains,
with rivers and plains, are lakes - brides
and gardens lovely, with tobaccos, vineyards,
poppies, grapes, with grains stirred,
with forests branched.

Why are you so troubled?
Mihai Eminescu
– „Forest, why are you so troubled?
There’s no wind and there’s no rain
Yet your branches are in pain”.
– „Yes, I’m troubled, you know why?
Because my life is passing by
Days are shrinking, nights are growing
And my leaves are quickly falling.
The wind is blowing from the bay
Chasing singing birds away
The wind is blowing without fear
Summer’s gone, winter is here.
How could I avoid to bow
When the birds are leaving now!

SPRING, from Vasile Alecsandri
The frosty winter has passed, From one branch to another they fly
The field turned green again Yellow thrush, gilded
The Merry Swallow Hello spring,
He came to us again. Nice time, welcome!
The turtledoves grumble,
Thousands of butterflies you see flying
And the industrious bee
From flowers honey gathering.

PROTECT NATURE
A factory smoke, It kills nature a campfire
A complete forest horror, Nature offers its blessing
We do not know its value
With all their beauty
They decorate our environment.
Protect nature, protect nature
If we pollute this place do not destroy forests
Do not consume living things.

Dintr-alte țări, de soare pline,

Veniți cu bine!
De frunze și de cântec goi,
Plâng codrii cei lipsiți de voi.

Gözlerimi doğaya açtım I opened my eyes to nature
Ne çok canlı yaşıyor Many live here
Her yer yeşille kaplanmış All the land was covered with green
ve sallanan yapraklar ile with the rocking leaves
Gözlerimi doğaya açtım I opened my eyes to nature
Rengarenk heryer Colorful everywhere
Kırmızı kırmızı elmalar dallardan dökülüyor Red apples poured into branches
Gözlerimi kapatmak istemedim... I don't want to close my eyes...
