Prichard was born in Maitland, Florida, on September 19, 1992. At age 10, him and his family decided to move back to Puerto Rico. The reason that they moved was so that Prichard can keep fighting on the islands.

He went to High school at Albergue Olímpico in Salinas, Puerto Rico, where he also started his amateur boxing career. He got his nickname "Digget", because he was so good at boxing. He then went to the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico for Business Administration. 

Colón was getting famous for winning five national championships in the 141 and 152 divisions. He also gained a gold medal in the Pan-American Youth Championship in the 64 kg category. He even fought at the Brail pre-Olympics, and got a pass there. But, he lost in the last round. He then decided to go pro with a unprofessional record of 170-15. 

His first professional fight was against Xavier La Salle, and he won that with a knockout in the first round. He then fought 12 fights from 2013-14.

He then got the fight of his life, and his last one at that. He fought as an undercard against Terrill Williams. They fought hard for nine rounds, and they both were getting penalized. Colon was penalized for a low knockback, and Williams go penalized for hitting the back of Colon's head, or rabbit punching. In the ninth rounds, he was hit in the back two more times, and didn't come out for the tenth. He looked bad. 

After the match, he was taken to the hospital, and was in a coma for 221 days. They then found out that they need to undergo an emergency brain operation to displace a subdural hematoma and relieving pressure on his skull. After 1 and a half years, he still was unconscious and insensitive. The only thing that he can do by himself is breath. His mom takes care of him in their house in Florida.
