Carson looks at all the colorful balloons that decorate the long table that holds Marcus’s big blue birthday cake with 6 candles. There are pretty streamers in all colors hanging from the ceiling and all their friends are running around the green yard. Carson spots a bright red Lightning McQueen piñata that he knows has some of his most favorite candy in it.

He looks over at the big bounce house and sees that nobody is jumping around in it. “Hmmm”, he thinks to himself, “maybe I should be the king of the house!” Carson runs over to the bounce house, takes his shoes off, and jumps around.

A little later, his friend Alyssa runs up and tries to climb up the steps. “You can’t come here, this is my house!” Carson says. Marcus hears this and runs over. “Carson, can you let Alyssa and everyone else in the bouncy house? It’s a lot more fun with more people!” Carson crosses his arms and sits in front of the entrance. "No. This is for me only!" Marcus and Alyssa walk away sadly.

A little bit later, Carson gets hungry and walks to the table with plenty of yummy snacks. “Hmmm, I think I’ll take one of everything,” Carson thinks as he grabs fresh strawberries, a grape juice box, a vanilla cupcake, and a piece of pepperoni pizza.

Soon enough, Joey comes over and reaches for a handful of the strawberries. “You can’t take those. They’re for me!” Carson tells Joey. Marcus sees that Joey looks upset, so he runs up next to Joey and asks what’s wrong. “He won’t let me get some strawberries.” Joey says.

“Carson! There are so many snacks! You don’t need them all,” says Marcus. Joey looks up and says, “Yeah Carson, I want some too! You’re not being very nice.” Then Carson gets really upset and stands in front of the tables. “Nobody can come any closer to the snacks! Go away Joey!” The friends walk away, feeling angry and hungry.

A little while later, Marcus shouts “Come on! It’s time for the piñata!” Everybody is super excited and they rush to the other side of Marcus’s wide backyard. They gather around the piñata and line up to take turns with the blindfold and the stick.

Just as Marcus was getting ready to take the first swing, Carson pushes the others to get to the front of the line and grabs the stick. “I think I’ll go first.” Without even putting the blindfold on, Carson starts swinging at the piñata, breaking it and causing candy to go everywhere!
