A 5-year-old girl named Jacqueline Wagner loved her favorite stuffed animal. It was a little pink pig she called Oinkie.
They promised to comfort one another, help each other, and be together forever. They were the best of friends.

The two went everywhere together. If Jacqueline didn’t have Oinkie with her at all times, there would be an outburst of crying.

One day in 2011, Jacqueline and Oinkie went to the park. They went on Oinkie’s favorite, the swings. They pushed each other higher and higher, up to the sky.

Next was the slide. When they got to the top, they realized it was as tall as a mountain. Both were terrified, but together they did it.
They went down the steep slide, getting faster as they got closer to the end. Jacqueline realized, “Maybe the slide isn’t so scary after all.”

“One more thing. We don’t want you to get exhausted.” Mom declared. Jacqueline and Oinkie decided to swing on the monkey bars because they were her favorite.

They pretended they were going from branch to branch in a jungle, trying to escape from a gorilla. After that, off home, they went.

In the summer of 2012, Jacqueline’s parents surprised her with a vacation to Florida. The only problem was that Jacqueline hated planes, but Oinkie was by her side the whole time.
Although her mom was a big help, Oinkie helped comfort her uneasy feelings.

Jacqueline loved her stuffed animal so much, and life was great. Until one terrible day, she lost Oinkie.

“Noooo!” she screamed in tears. Her parents asked, “What’s wrong?” “Where did Oinkie go?” Jacqueline said. She was so upset she was almost in denial that Oinkie was lost.

Everyone looked for Oinkie very carefully. They thought it had to be in the living room because Jacqueline would’ve brought it with her.

Unfortunately, her stuffed animal wasn’t with them in the living room. While Jacqueline was crying, her parents suggested, “Why don’t you look in your room? You must’ve left it up there.”

In her bedroom, Jacqueline found all her toys. Her stuffed animal horse, stuffed animal elephant, ponies, and Barbie dolls, but Oinkie, her favorite fluffy stuffed pig, was not in her bedroom with the others.

As Jacqueline left her room, sobbing more than ever before, she saw picture frames hanging on the wall by the steps.

It was her and Oinkie. Each picture captured a memory of the great adventures of Jacqueline and Oinkie.

As she climbed down the stairs, Jacqueline saw even more photographs hanging on the walls.
Mostly all of them were pictures of the family, but she noticed that Oinkie was with her in a few of them. For a moment, it distracted her from her determination to find Oinkie.
