Animals that live in the taiga biome have to have adaptations to live in the taiga because it is so cold. Some adaptations are, thick fur/feathers and hibernation.

When permafrost and rock prevent water from draining from the top layers of soil, it creates bogs called muskegs. Muskegs can look like solid ground because they have small grasses, mosses, and trees on them.
