Tommi loves to play with all of her friends at daycare.

She is 18 months old today and is bringing a special snack of birthday cake yogurt to share with her friends to celebrate!

Breakfast is Tommi's favorite meal of the day.

The class had whole grain toast with wow butter and blueberries. Yummy!!

Ms. Molly is going to be watching what Tommi does today so she can check off more boxes on Tommi's milestone list.

"Developmental milestones are things most children (75% or more) can do by a certain age Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2018, para. 1)."

When Tommi turned 10 months old, she learned that when she is finished with her food, an adult puts the leftovers back into a container. 

Today after breakfast, Tommi put the rest of her blueberries back into the container all by herself! (CM#1)

After Breakfast, the class has music time. 

For music today, the class is marching like a dinosaur as they listen to "We are the Dinosaurs" by Laurie Berkner.

Tommi did a great job following along with the movement in the song. (LM#3)

It is time for recess! 

Tommi loves to play with the ball and firetruck the most.

She pushes the fire truck up a ramp and watches it fall back down. (CM#2)

"Whoooosh! It's so fast!" says Ms. Molly.

Some of Tommi's friends are playing with a ball. 

"Ball!!" Tommi says joyfully.

She waved "bye-bye" to the firetruck as she walked over to her friends. (LM#2)

Ms. Molly says, "It's time to go inside for lunch!"

Today for lunch, Ms. Molly's class ate mixed fruit, macaroni and cheese, and broccoli!

"Mmmmm" said the class as they took the first bite.

Tommi can be a slow eater so she is the last one at the table.

When Ms. Molly starts to clean off the table, Tommi tries to help by using her dirty napkin to wipe the table. (CM#3)

"Thank you for helping Tommi!" says Ms. Molly.

After lunch, everyone gathered on the rug for storytime.

Tommi loves reading stories before she takes a nap.

Today, Ms. Molly picked a story called "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom."
