Introduction

Ari is an 8th grader that goes to Washington Middle School. She is an only child and lives with her dad. Ari enjoys living in Green bay but hopes to one day to travel and try something new. She likes to spend time with her friends. She goes on runs with them and plays games.  Ari loves all school subjects she has, except science. She joined NEW Scholars when she was in 6th grade. Since then, she has been improving her grades, going on field trips with the program, and looking into her future career. 

NEW Scholars challenges her and is helping her earn scholarships and money for college. Ari enjoys being in NEW Scholars. She gets to have fun, and learn and try new things. She gets to do fun activities while in NEW Scholars, like playing games, getting to know people, and exploring new opportunities. Ari's dream job is to be a Therapist.

Chapter 1: 9th grade

Ari is now in high school. Now it's more important for her to be organized. She has a calendar set up on her wall, and every morning, she gets up and checks it. Ari uses the calendar to mark her assignments, the plans she has, and to keep track of things that are important. 

Algebra:

Ari understands how important Algebra is. She focuses hard on this subject and makes sure she understands. Ari tries to get ahead in Algebra. She takes notes and does extra homework. Ari does all this so she has a deeper understanding. She's also taking a French class because she knows that universities will be more open to people who know another language. She already knows Spanish, so she decides that learning a different language will give her a better opportunity at a university and she can get a scholarship for knowing more than 1 language.
