Escuela means school. The letter "e" in Spanish is always pronounced like the first "e" in elephant.

Febrero means february. "F" in Spanish is pronounced the same as in English.
Don't forget that you do not capitalize February in Spanish!

"Ganar" is the verb to win, as in to win a game. The Spanish "g" is usually pronounced like the g in egg, but can sometimes make an "sound."
The Spanish "g" will never make the soft "g" sound as in gelatin.
is for hoy

Hoy means today. Don't get tripped up by the letter "h," because this letter is completely silent in Spanish.
Anytime you see it, just pretend it's not there.

is for iglesia

Iglesia means church. The letter "i" in Spanish is always pronounced like the "i" in "unique"

Junio means June and Julio means July. "J" in Spanish is pronounced like the English "h."
Months are still uncapitalized in Spanish!

is for NOTHING

There are essentially no words in Spanish that start with "k," but every time you see that letter, it's pronounced the same as the English "k"
is for lunes

Lunes means Monday! This letter is pronounced the same in both languages.
Weekdays are still not capitalized!

is for martes

Martes means Tuesday! This letter is pronounced the same in both languages (just like in monkey).
Weekdays are still not capitalized!

is for nublado

Nublado means cloudy in Spanish and is one of the ways you can tell someone what the weather is like.
"N" is pronounced the same in both languages.
