                    Chapter 1: Out of High School

   On May 31, 2019, I graduated High School from Nacogdoches High School. After graduation, I went to project grad with my classmates and enjoyed the last few moments with my high school friends until everyone else would moved to college. 

            Chapter 2: Applying for a Job

    I have always told my parents that as soon as I graduated I would apply to be a paraprofessional at one of the elementary schools in the district. The next morning that is exactly what I did. I received a confirmation email that they had received my application. Now all I had to do is wait until I got a call. 

           Chapter 3: Out the Country 

     In the scond week of June 2019, I traveled to Europe with eight other friends for two weeks. We visited Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia. Towards the end of the trip, I received a call from the principal of Mike Moses Middle School.

             Chapter 4: A Great Opportunity 

    He offered me a position as an ESL paraprofessional for the Math department. My whole life I told myself that I wanted to work with elementary students. I wasn't so sure if I wanted to accept it or keep on waiting to see if another school would call me. After two weeks, about thinking...

          I ACCEPT THE JOB!!!

    On the first day of school, I was really nervous. I didn't know what to expect from the student. Over the months I created good relationships with coworkers and students that I enjoyed going to work with every day. At the end of the year, COVID hit and we didn't return back to work after Spring Break. 

    In July 2020, I received a call from my boss to meet him at his office after lunch. I was super excited but super scared at the same time. I got to his office and he offers me to be the new PEIMS (Public Education Information Management) Clerk, which I automatically accept. It was a great opportunity to work in a middle school then elementary school!
