How’s it going? My name’s Eric, and I’m in the fourth grade. I’m just your average kid, nothing too special about me! But I have to say, if there’s anything I love, it’s got to be my shoes!

 “Why shoes?” You might be asking. Well, let me tell you all about these wonderful and snug shoes! There’s just so much to say about them, too many to wear, and especially too many to count!

There are clean shoes, bright shoes, neon-colored shoes, little shoes, big shoes, patterned shoes, even flip-flops and sandals! There’s so much variety, so many unique designs. It’s almost too much for an average kid, but I know my way around shoes. Yes, sire!

I’m so happy that I got interested in shoes, as one day I can imagine myself as a successful shoe designer bringing out the newest, freshest kicks there are! That’s my goal in life.

But enough about me and more about my school! Every day when I head to class, I’m never walking without wearing a new pair of shoes. Monday through Friday! Today, I felt like a clean white pair of shoes. Just to be simple and relaxed.

Art class is my favorite class to doodle and create new shoe masterpieces! Ms. Penny, our art teacher, handed out paints for us to use. “Alright class, let’s get painting. I’ll be looking forward to your creative art!,” Ms. Penny smiled, letting us create whatever we wanted.

 I was very excited. It was time to create some new shoe ideas! But as I reached over for some paint, my hand knocked over an opened purple paint bottle. This made it fall and make a loud thud as it splattered over the floor nearby.

I panicked, yelling and running over to catch the falling paint. But the paint went all over the place, falling directly next to my shoes, my perfect whites! There was a big puddle of purple paint next to my shoes, and I could hear Ms. Penny gasp and run over with cleaning equipment.
