Hello, I'm Yaren Ekin Varol. I chose Amsterdam for my project, which is to promote a city I love .First of all, the reason I chose Amsterdam is because I love water too much and Amsterdam is called "water country".Amsterdam is one of the most popular touristic cities in the world. It is a very advantageous place for a touristic trip or to settle in the city. Whatever your purpose is, it is undoubtedly beneficial to get to know Amsterdam a little bit beforehand. Here it is often referred to as the “City of Freedoms”

It is possible to say that Amsterdam is one of the unique cities of Europe with its famous museums, beautiful canals and streets, entertainment life, small dessert cafes and many more prominent features.
4
In addition to all these, one of the biggest reasons why I find Amsterdam attractive is that the city remains in the minds as the place where everything is free. I think it is a great injustice to the city that Amsterdam is only popular for this aspect. There are many reasons to explore this city.

an international city;
Compared to other cities in the world, Amsterdam is one of the most culturally diverse cities. As it hosts 176 different nationalities, you can feel very comfortable and belonging to this beautiful city in a short time. I can say that it is very easy to meet new people and make friends in Amsterdam.

9
Communication convenience;
86% of the people in Amsterdam can speak two or more languages fluently. For this reason, unlike other cities whose native language is not English, we do not have to worry about learning the country's own mother tongue.
10
There is hardly anyone in the city who does not speak English. Even in stores, we can hear English spoken among employees. In addition to a touristic trip, we can easily spend your life in Amsterdam with an average level of English.

A mix of cosmopolitan life with a small village feel; Since its area is only 219 km², we can discover Amsterdam in a short time and become familiar with many places easily. At the same time, since this small city is dominated by a cosmopolitan lifestyle, we can think of Amsterdam as a combination of village and city life. Wherever you are in the city, we can find many cafes, bars, shops and supermarkets open until late.

Architecture of the city;
It would be very unfair not to mention the architecture of the city when talking about Amsterdam. All the houses in Amsterdam look like they came out of a fairy tale, and the colorful buildings go in the longitudinal direction, not the width as usual. This is why most of the buildings in the city seem tall and slender. This structure of the houses is actually a feature that reflects the history of Amsterdam. Amsterdam continues to fascinate everyone with its beautiful streets, 1281 bridges and 165 canals.
14
city of entertainment;
One of the most important features of Amsterdam is that it is an entertainment city. Amsterdam is known for hosting many ambitious canal festivals, music festivals and events. It is possible to find a big or small event or festival that we can attend almost every week in the city.
