Once upon a time, there was a baby cell.

The baby cell spent every day doing the same thing over and over again. Day in and day out the little cell spent her days living at home admiring her parents.

One day the baby cell got tired of doing the same thing every day. The baby cell wanted to be like her daddy cell, big and strong!

She wasn’t sure how she was going to get big and strong but she knew the first step was going to start on the first day of elementary school. The baby cell was nervous to start school but was also incredibly excited.

On the morning of her first day of school, the baby cell woke up feeling energetic and ready to learn how to become big and strong.

On the bus ride to school, the baby cell met her first new friend, Ligand. Immediately after meeting Ligand the baby cell felt more confident and ready to become a big strong cell.

Once Baby Cell and Ligand got to the classroom they met her elementary teacher, her name was Mrs. Kinase. Mrs. Kinase was so energetic and was incredibly excited to help all of the baby cells in growing big and strong. 

Mrs. Kinase gave baby cell a very special present called a phosphate. The phosphate made baby cell feel like a big kid already!

After Mrs. Kinase’s class, Baby cell walked through the hallway to the playground where she met Ras. Ras had a lot of other friends who were almost as energetic as Mrs. Kinase. Their names were MAPKKK, MAPKK, and MAPK.

Just like Mrs. Kinase all of the MAPs gave the baby cell a phosphate as a present.

With all of these presents, the baby cell was ready to start growing but she was tired from her big day.

After a good night sleep, baby cell was excited to go back to school when she woke up.

Little did she know, her day today was going to be very different from her day yesterday. Baby cell was ready to leave elementary school and move on to middle school.

On the first day of middle school, baby cell had a new teacher today who’s name was Mr. GCyclin. By himself Mr. GCyclin was very sleepy and boring. But, then came along a helper who’s name was GCDK. GCDK helped Mr. GCyclin teach all of the important things to Baby cell.

After learning Mr. GCylcin and GCDKs lesson, baby cell wasn’t allowed to go back to elementary school and needed to be ready to go to high school. She knew everything she needed to know and was finally big enough to start.  

At the next class, Baby cell met Ms. SCyclin and her helper SCDK.  When Ms. SCyclin was teaching her lesson, she had a guest speaker come visit, the guest speaker was named CDC6.

CDC6 had a super cool pet that she brought to show to the class, it was the craziest most energetic pet squirrel named ORC.

In the middle of the class, ORC ran away. Not to worry, baby cell ran after ORC onto the playground and ended up meeting ORC’s bossy friend named Helicase.
