Within the mass of Caterpillars, there was one who didn't feel right.

They felt the gaze of the others and a sense of worry and fright.

We all grow at different stages, the world sometimes just passes by.

 Who is that odd-looking creature, they all know as the Caterfly?

Within the mass of Butterflies, there was one who didn't feel right. 

They felt the gaze of the others and a sense of worry and fright.

It's not easy being different, who decides what is a dud or a thriller,

But who is that odd-looking creature, they've christened the Butterpillar.

After hearing the sniggers and laughter, he left the others behind,

Uncurling his wings out of of his cocoon he climbed.

They say names will never hurt you, but Butterpillar had now had enough.

"I'm far better off being without them, and getting away from this stuff."

So now the two stars of our story, are both on the path to discover,

The true Caterfly and Butterpillar, when guess what, they bump into each other.

"I'm Caterfly, you look just like me."

"I'm Butterpillar, you could be my double."

"I'm hoping to learn why I'm different."

"I'm hoping to stay out of trouble."

"What beautiful wings" sighed one "they just look like mine".

"What pretty patterns" whispered the other "they are mighty fine" 

Rejected by all of their family, the new friends, though different by name.

Now found what they both had in common, there wasn't a need to feel shame.

So whether life makes you a Caterfly, Butterpillar, or just a part of each. 

It's loving ourselves and each other, a lesson we should all try to teach.
