It was a practice and we were all upset about our last game not knowing why we couldn’t win. We didn’t know how much time it would take for it to happen.

For us to get a team and beat them. To get past them and to finish them off.

It was a good day at practice. I fielded the ground ball cleanly and got out. I was playing very well that day. I was making plays and doing all I could to get the team back on track.

         Then came the district. We knew if we wanted to have a chance at winning we had to step up our game. So we dug our hardest to try to get to that point.

It was the semi-finals. We play a team called Warwick. We had played them in the past and they absolutely killed us. We didn’t stand a chance the first time we played them.

But this is the playoffs and we were a completely different team. We are coming off of winning every single one of our district games and they weren’t even close. We blew out every team that we played.

Until we came to this game. It was the second inning and we were up to bat. The score was 3-2 and we were winning. I was up to bat and got the hit and got on base.

I got to home plate, and it was now 4-2. It was now the last inning of the game, and all we had to do was get one more out to win and get a ticket straight to the finals and not have to play in the other game.

    The ball was hit straight to me, and all I had to do was catch the ball. I made the catch, and all of us celebrated, knowing we didn't have to play in the night game and got to rest until tomorrow's

final game.  

        I went home that night knowing we had one left. We either played the team that we just beat in the last game, or we played someone completely different. I woke up the next day and found out we played Warwick again because they won their game after they lost to us. 

We got to the game the next day, and we had more people at the game than we had ever had before. We knew they wanted revenge on the game, and they wanted that trophy just as much as we did. We were doing our warm-ups, and you could feel the tension between the two teams. 

You knew it would be an excellent game and come down to the last play.
