Welcome to Granddad's garden. I love to come here because there are so many plants that I can learn about. I love plants just like my Granddad.

Plants are living organisms that need air, sunlight, water, and nutrients. Plants are so important to our world because they produce oxygen and natural resources. The plants in Granddad's garden come in many different shapes, colors, and sizes.

He teaches me all about his plants here. Many of them grow more organisms such as flowers, vegetables, and fruits. I love his flowers the most because they are so elegant. I can teach you all about the flowers he grows in his garden, just like he teaches me.

Flowers are the reproductive structures of flowering plants. They grow on the end of plants' stems. They are usually the most colorful part of plants. These beautiful colors attract pollinators, which leads to pollination. This can result in flowers making seeds and fruits. That's right! Flowers are very important.
Flowering plants
Pollinators
Pollination
Plants that produce flowers during their life cycles.
The transfer of pollen from a male part of a plant to a female part of a plant.
Anything that helps the transfer of pollen. This includes bees, birds, butterflies, etc.
Here is a bee, as a pollinator.
How do flowers eat?
I always wondered how flowers eat and survive. Granddad taught me that they get their food from the sun's light. Remember flowers are the reproductive parts of plants. All plants actually make their own food. They turn the energy from the sun into food through a process called photosynthesis.
