During the past week or so I noticed a couple of birds whizzing past my front window. They were hard at work building a nest. How cool! I was going to be an uncle! Ok, not really. But it was a lot of fun watching them build a nest together with all the materials they found by my house. One morning I went to check on the birds when I noticed that the nest had fallen to the ground. Inside the nest were two broken eggs. How sad.

I thought about the fallen nest for the rest of the day. In need of cheering up I decided to watch my favourite home renovation show called Magical Makeovers. It was different from other similar shows as it catered to some unique clients. Tonight’s episode featured The Three Little Pigs and their struggle to build a safe, sturdy house. The Big, Bad Wolf had huffed and puffed and blew their first two houses down.

That was when the host of the show, Bug Buffer called in The Lego Labour Legion. And this team was awesome. They were able to construct a home made entirely of blocks. The pigs squealed with delight as the crew unveiled their new home. An all to familiar face soon came sniffing around as he inspected the pigs’ modern accommodations.

Needless to say The Big, Bad Wolf was not impressed. He tried to blow down the house a couple of times before started gasping for breath. “Ahh, skip it! I’ll go bother Little Red Riding Hood instead. At least she has cookies” he grumbled.
“Well, another happy ending here on Magical Makeovers!” Bug smiled as he high-fived The Three Little Pigs.

“Hey gang! Hope you enjoyed tonight’s episode. Next week we will be fixing up Barbie’s Dream House. We’ll also be getting an update on the mini stable that we built for some miniature houses. If you have a special request that only the team at Miracle Makeovers can handle, send us a video through one of our social media accounts. There is no job too big or too small for this crew. I’m Bug Buffer. Thanks for watching and remember to stay awesome!”

I impulsively decided to make a video about the fallen birds nest. I sent it off to the show not expecting to hear back. Much to my surprise and delight I received a phone call two weeks later. It was one of the producers from Magical Makeovers and they had decided that they would build a special nest for the birds on my property.

The entire team from Magical Makeovers arrived in their special bus. Bug was just as excitable in person as he was on TV.
“Yup Wilhelm? I’m Bug Buffer and I think you know my team of superstars. This is Sam, Lauren, and Wilson. Oh, and we can’t forget about our wonderful driver Mik.”
“Nice to meet you everybody. Um, where is The Lego Labour Legion?” I wondered.
“Oh, you didn’t know? We have to go to Lego Land to pick them up” Bug replied.
The bus was engulfed by a trio of laser beams that shrunk us all to the size of insects.

We arrived in a small town called Legoville deep in the heart of Lego Land. Everybody was so friendly as we were greeted with smiles, songs, and cheers. Eventually we found The Foreman of The Lego Labour Legion.
“Bug! Good to see you again. What can I do you for?”
“This is Yup Wilhelm and he has a special request for some feathered friends of his.”
“I saw your video and my team is very excited to build a brand new nest for the family of birds. It’s gonna be awesome!” The Foreman announced.
“Alright, everybody on the bus! It’s time to create some magic!” Bug screamed.

As we boarded the bus, the local Lego crowd gave us all hugs. We sat in our seats waiting for the lasers to return us to normal size when people started to run away. Standing in front of the bus was a group of Lego warriors known as ‘The Ninjango.’ They crept around the bus like a group of panthers poised to strike at any time.
“Not this again” Bug lamented.
“Again? You mean you’ve been attacked by ninjas before?” I asked.
“You know what, since you’re here take this. You can help Luke fight them off” he replied as he shoved me out the door with a light saber.

“Hey there. I’m Lego Luke Skywalker. Are you ready to fight some Ninjango warriors?”
“Uh, not really” I gulped.
“Excellent! They’re no match for our Lego light sabres. Whoa! Look out behind you!”
Before I knew it I was in combat with a group of sword-wielding ninjas. And you know what? I was pretty good. Lego Luke and I easily defeated the ninjas who were forced to retreat after their Lego limbs had been knocked off.
“Great work Yup! That was awesome!”
“Why does everybody keep saying that?” I muttered to myself.
