One morning, when Eli the Dinosaur was getting ready for the day, he realized that he was missing his best friend, Barry, the capybara.

Eli began to feel sad and started looking for Barry. He started with the library... but Barry wasn't there.

Eli then decided to look in the living room. He looked on the couch, behind the couch and around the lamps. But, still, no Barry.

Capybaras love sleeping and playing in the mud. Barry's favorite place to be was the big mud puddle in Eli's backyard.
So, Eli went to look for Barry there. But Eli had no luck and couldn't find Barry.

Eli started to feel scared and worried because he couldn't find Barry.
But then, Eli remembered all the other places capybaras like to hang out!
Eli turned inside to tell his parents he was going out to look for Barry.

Eli grabbed his bowtie and headed out.

First, Eli wanted to check the river just down the street from Barry's house.
Considering that he's a capybara, Barry LOVES swimming.
That's why Eli was surprised that Barry wasn't there.
Eli kept his head up and moved onto the next location.

Capybaras are known for acting as a moving chair to many different species.
When Barry was young, he encountered two ducks, Cindy and Gerald, who hitched a ride on Barry's back. Since then, Barry has given them rides almost every day! So, Eli made his way to the town's pond.
Eli thought that maybe Cindy and Gerald needed a ride somewhere, and that's why Barry was gone... but they said they hadn't seen Barry yet that day.
Eli didn't let that dampen his hope, he dried off his feet and moved onto the next location.

Many animals are scared of crocodiles. But capybaras aren't! Many capybaras, like Barry, enjoy hanging out with the alligators!
Eli checked in with Barry's friend Alex the alligator but he said he hadn't seen him in a few days because he'd been hiding from the scary Hunters.

Not only do capybaras spend a lot of time with ducks and alligators, they also like to spend time with Monkeys!
After the disappointing news from Alex, Eli decided to make his way to the jungle, to meet up with Barry's friend Carrie the monkey.
Unfortunately, Carrie didn't have any new information for Eli.

After talking with Alex, Eli started to lose hope. He was about to give up when he decided to try just one more place.
He remembered Barry talking about a new patch of grass growing just a few blocks away that he had been wanting to taste test.
