Waking up with the sound of the alarm, Nazlı smiled with the smell of delicious food coming from the kitchen. Apparently, her mother had made her favorite cake for breakfast. She quickly got out of bed, got ready, and made her way to the kitchen. Her mother looked so beautiful today, as always! After having their breakfast together, her mother and Nazlı set off to school.
When they came in front of the school, her mother gave Nazlı her usual advice, then kissed her and left to go to work. Nazlı entered the classroom and walked towards her desk. She was a kid who loves school. She never upset her teachers, did her homework on time, and came to class prepared. Seeing that there is 15 minutes left for the first class, she decided to go to the bathroom.
While walking in the corridor, she greeted her teachers and saw her close friend Melis. She smiled at her as well but was surprised when she didn't get the response she expected. When she looked behind Melis, she saw two other students from their class: Sude and Aleysa. They also had a cold expression on their faces, not seeming to be friendly at all.
Nazlı could not understand why Melis reacted like this. She was one of her closest friends. Nothing bad had happened between them before. Still, she didn't want to think badly of her friend. Maybe she was a little sick or had a bad start to the day. When she got to class, she told herself to ask Melis if anything bad happened today.
After a while, she noticed Melis and other students, Sude and Aleysa entering the class together. Melis who should normally sit next to Nazlı , moved to another desk without looking at Nazlı. Therefore, Nazlı went to ask Melis what happened, but she got an unexpected reaction again. Melis turned to Nazlı and said that she would no longer sit next to her and that she did not want to be seen with her.
Nazlı could not understand why, when she asked, Melis said that Nazlı did not look like other people and therefore she could not make any other friends because they were hanging out together. Nazlı walked away and sat down at her desk, questioning how she looked different throughout the lesson and why it was affecting their friendship. But she couldn't get to understand. However, she thought it was very cruel to judge people by their appearance.
