Once, there lived a beautiful deer. Her name was Kira. The one thing special about Kira was, she had blue glittery spots on her golden body.
However, she did not like those spots because all her other family members had white spots on their golden bodies.

Whenever Kira went outside her house, then the other animals used to stare at her glittery blue spots. Every time, Kira gets upset when uncle rabbit says,
“Little Kira, Little Kira jumped in a blue paint pail”
Then she runs to her Mommy deer.
She says, “Mumma Deer, my blue spots make me look ugly”. She weeps.
Mumma Deer says, “Oh! my lovely little Kira, your spots are just as beautiful as the stars in the sky!”

Kira looks into her mother’s eyes. Thinking she is just saying that to make her happy. Though, she smiles at her mother and hugs her.
The next day, she goes to the lake to take a bath. She sees her reflection in the water. Then she says, “Mr. Lake, why am I not beautiful like my friends?”
Mr. Lake opens his big eyes and looks at Kira. Knowing she is unhappy how she looks; he gives her a warm and comforting smile.
He says, “Hello my dear Kira.”

Kira opens her wet eyes.
Mr. Lake says, “Oh little Kira, have you seen uncle Bear. He has huge white spots near his paws and around his eyes. Does that make him look sad?”
Kira ponders with her pretty brown eyes wide open.
She says, “Uncle Bear is always happy because he looks great and unique. I also love his white spots.”
Mr. Lake asks Kira, “Does that make him any less of a bear?”
Kira once again thinks and answers Mr. Lake, “No Mr. Lake.”
Then Mr. Lake tells her, “You know it is his white spots that make him look special.”
Kira listens to Mr. Lake with her mouth wide open.
Mr. Lake then tells her, “It is your beautiful glittery blue spots that make you look totally unique and pretty. The way we look makes us special, not ugly.”
Then she remembers what her mother says and tells Mr. Lake that her spots shine when moonlight falls on her body.
Mr. Lake then smiles and says, “That’s your beauty, my child.”
Kira giggles.
She then thanks Mr. Lake for a wonderful lesson and starts embracing herself by being proud of her looks.
Moral: Everyone is special and beautiful in their own way. There’s nothing in this world that makes them look any less beautiful.
