Hello! My name is Lilly and I am three years old. This is my school where I spend the day with my teachers and friends. I go to a toddler classroom with children from 12 months old to three years old. I have almost mastered all my skill development and will soon join a new class, but I want to share my story.

Ms. Cindy
This is my teacher, Ms. Cindy. She plays so many fun game with me and says this is the fun way to learn. She told me that I have mastered some of my cognitive skills and my language skills while in her classroom. Ms. Cindy met with my mom and dad to talk about all the milestones I have met.
Cognition at 12 Months
At just one-year-old, I learned to seek hidden items. After breakfast, Ms. Cindy brought me to a mat and used two buckets to cover up a toy. The toy was always different, but I liked when she used a soft ball. Ms. Cindy would show me the ball, then put the bucket on top. She would pretend that it disappeared, but eventually I caught on to her tricks. I learned to lift up the buckets to find the ball. Ms. Cindy always clapped for me.
Cognition At 18 Months
After playing the seeking game, Ms. Cindy would take me outside on our playground. She would give me a turtle toy that I could push or pull around. It made a popping noise when I would move it, so I would try to walk fast. Sometimes I would sit down and try to push the button. Either way, I was learning that the balls would move and make the popping sound all because I was pushing the button or moving the toy.
Cognition At Two Years
Ms. Cindy must have known I would get tired of her hide and seek. She always kept a fun caterpillar close. Ms. Cindy would put the caterpillar in front of me and show me all the fun stuff to touch. Like magic, a surprise would jump up to show me that I did a good job. I was pretty good at hitting the green button. At first, I struggled with twisting the blue knob and pulling the orange knob. Ms. Cindy would show me all the time, and one day I figured it out!!!
Cognition At Three Years
As time has passed, I have developed more of my physical skills. One of my favorite activities is art. Every day after our afternoon snack time, Ms. Cindy opens the art station. I get a little frustrated because my drawings don't look very nice. Ms. Cindy sits with me and shows me how to draw shapes. She makes sure that I hold my pencil the correct way, then lets me watch as she draws a circle. She then lets me draw a circle on my own. Ms. Cindy helps me draw pictures one step at a time so I can follow along.
