This is Remi.   He is a rainbow with no colors.

He did not understand why his rainbow friends had 

colors and he did not.

After it rained all his rainbow friends would 

jump into the sunlight and show their colors, 

but Remi had no colors to show.

One day after a rainfall, Remi was watching his 

rainbow friends show their colors, when 

suddenly a cloud approached him and asked, 

"What's wrong?   Why aren't you showing your 

colors?"

"I have no colors to show."

Claudius the Cloud said, "That won't do.   Let 

me help you find some colors!"

As Claudius and Remi go off into the distance, 

a yellow spot appears on Remi.   For the first 

time in Remi's life, he experienced kindness.   

Claudius says to Remi, "I will take you to me 

brother, Cleveland the Cloud.   He is very 

wise."   Claudius and Remi then fly off to a 

farm to find Cleveland.  

When they arrive at the farm, Cleveland is 

busy raining on the crops.   Remi as Claudius, 

"Why is he raining on the crops?   The farm has 

not done anything for him."   Cleveland comes 

over after raining and says to Remi, "I do not 

need anything in return.   I am happy to share 

my rain with anyone who needs it."

Claudius says to Remi, "Caring for those in 

need when you do not get a reward is true 

generosity."   After seeing what generosity was 

the color purple appeared on Remi. 

After talking to Cleveland, Remi and Claudius 

continued on their journey.   They were so 

focused on where they would travel next that 

they did not notice a mean thundercloud 

headed straight for them!

As the storm sped past them, Remi and 

Claudius were split apart.   As Claudius floated 

off into the distance he yelled, "Be brave, 

Remi!"   Remi was alone now.   He closed his 

eyes in fear for just a moment, but then he 

took a deep breath and opened his eyes.

Remi realized that being by himself was not so 

scary.   As long as he was brave, he could 

continue on his journey.   A flash of light 

appeared and a new color appeared, green!

Remi went on for days, but never saw anyone 

that could help him.    Remi thought about 

turning back, but he remembered Claudius's 

dedication to him and he realized how upset 

Claudius would be if he quit now.    Remi 

decided to push on and a new color appeared, 

blue, for dedication.
