As he said this so many crazy scenarios went through my head. Things like what if Mr. Minnows's ex-wife Shara, August's mom had done it. But all those thoughts went away when He said that the police thought it was an inside job.   

Then August came down the stairs and finally fed me. “You are one hungry kitty cat,” she said while laughing. As she is about to walk out the door, Mr. Minnows says,” and where do you think you're going?”

I'm going shopping with my friends,” she said with an attitude. 

“With whose money?” he asked 

it's my mom's money FYI” she responded rudely.

“First of all, I thought your mom was unemployed, and second of all what in the world does FYI mean?” He said with confidence. 

“ omg dad, FYI means for your information and how am I supposed to know where she got the money?” August said with disgust

Okay Fine, you can go” He said finally.

As I sat on Mr. Minnows' head I heard the front door creek open, maybe August came home. 

Yaun. What a nice sleep. “AHHHH, WHY ARE YOU In My ROOM? “someone screamed from afar. As I raced to where I heard the screaming I saw Mr. Minnow in August’s room holding a lot of the paper stuff he used to buy my food at the store. Meow, I knew this would get their attention, but strangely it didn't.

“Where did you get this money from?” he 

questioned her angrily.

“Well first tell me why you're in my room,” she said back.

“No, first answer my question, where did you g

et the money,” he said sternly

“ Fine, my mom gave it to me. She has been giving me money since yesterday,” she said, clearly

annoyed.

“Okay, now can you leave my room” August added

“Fine,” he said, defeated. 

After this, I just left this was too much for me. When August came back the next weekend she went straight to her room. She was still angry with her dad. When it came time for my afternoon walk she decided to tag along. During this time, she kept asking questions like
