For my sixth grade class, I hope you always know that it is okay to feel all of the feelings. :))

Far away in a land known as Emotia, there were divisions in the land. In each of these divisions, there was a king who designated an emotion for each land.

In you were in the Land of Happiness, your main job was to bring joy and positivity to those around you.

In the Land of Sadness, it was required that you had no positivity, but rather expressed feelings of sadness and those around you also had those same feelings.

The last division of Emotia was known as the Land of Anger. Within the land of Anger, there was no joy, no sadness, only the most bitter emotion.

Because the lands of Emotia had never seen each other, the king decided that everyone in the land was required to separate from their friends and families to rejoin a new land that would be designated by the king himself.

Once this decision was made, all of the people of Emotia were unhappy with this decision, even the people of happiness, one of which being Little Miss Happiness.

Little Miss Happiness had always lived within the Land of Happiness, but when the king had decided to separate friends and families and rejoin them to a new land, she began to develop a new emotion that she had never felt before.

When the time came for them to rejoin the new land, she was filled with new emotions known as sadness and anger.

Maybe this was because she had always been surrounded by joy, but she knew from that moment on that things would never be the same.

As the people from the old lands began to transition to their new ones, Little Miss Happiness try to keep an open mind, but without her family or her friends she was both sad and angry that she was having to start over without anyone she knew.

Those that were in the Land of Happiness had no idea what any other emotion- other than joy and positivity -were so they were nervous about having to learn new emotions.

These new emotions would be harder to control, which is something that they all dreaded.
