Once upon a time in a town far far away there was a pair of boots. These boots belonged to an Ogre, most dreadful. This ogre was shunned by all in this land that was far, far away indeed. But the Ogre was on a mission to retrieve his boots for they belonged to his beautiful mother. These boots, passed down each generation were a prized possession for those who received them. These mystic boots were blessed with the power of flight! This made the boots sought after by those who shunned the ogre. Though they wished to see the ogre isolated in the swamp, they coveted the magic boots and wanted them for their own.

On a rainy day the Ogre decided he would set off to find his boots and so with a loaf of bread he went to town. The Ogre never went anywhere without his trusty loaf of bread. This loaf of bread was much like a trusty steed; always at his side, ready to adventure. The tread to town was long and winding but the Ogre continued until he saw a rapscallion alongside the road. Instantly, the Ogre knew this bandit would attack him for his trusty loaf. Before the bandit could react the Ogre chucked his loaf as hard as he could to knock him out. Unfortunately, the Ogre was not very good at aiming and the loaf flew past the bandits head. They both lept for the loaf, throwing caution to the wind. In a moment, their hands were locked on the loaf. It was on the brink of being torn, not sliced! But the Ogre and Bandit locked eyes. There was a moment of silence, and the bandit realized the ogre meant him no harm.

At once, the bandit let go and asked the ogre, “You’re just trying to get to town, to find something you’ve lost, aren’t you? I can see it in your eyes. You wish to find something that once belonged to you.” The Ogre, a bit surprised, simply grunted in response.

The bandit and ogre began a sort of camaraderie. They both went to town, continuing their mission. The ogre, through grunts and random sounds conveyed his tale of the lost boots. The bandit through his many adventures recalled a pair of mystical boots. He offered to guide the ogre to the last known location of the boots. However, there was a catch. These boots were guarded by none other than the foul, evil Lord Wrigglesworth.
