Jon and Marvin

Most people thought Jon was crazy. He had one goal in
life, to be a greater wizard than Merlin. He studied magic
and some science all the time. It was too bad he never
paid any attention to his trusty helper, Marvin. Or he
might have realized that he was a relative of Merlin. If he
had paid attention he would have noticed his experiments
only worked when Marvin was around

No one ever knew how it happened, but Jon got a letter from
the King. He was assigned a great adventure. Jon was
supposed to rescue the King's daughter from the evil baker,
Keebler. The evil baker captured women and made them bake
cookies in his evil tree forest. The trees could shoot thorns and
were full of elves that would poke you in the eyes.

Jon and Marvin started their trip the next day. Marvin carried
all of the supplies. Jon worked on a plan while Marvin hoped
that he could save them both from the plan. Jon decided they
would shoot one of his exploding potions into the trees. Marvin
knew this wouldn't work; they needed a sneak attack. Before
Marvin could say anything there was an explosion. All heck
broke loose. Thorns went everywhere and elves were jumping
all around trying to poke the two men's eyes. The elves took
Jon hostage. Lucky for Marvin, he could make himself invisible
so he followed him into the trees and the home of the evil
baker.

Marvin couldn't believe it. There were beautiful women
everywhere, wearing hairnets and aprons, baking cookies. The
women did all the work while the baker and the elves ate them
all. Jon got a smell of the cookies and started to struggle; he
just had to have those cookies. Marvin put a spell on Jon, the
baker, and the elves, making them all fall asleep. Marvin and
the women tied up the baker and the elves with the apron
strings. They grabbed of the cookies they could, woke up Jon,
and got the heck out of there. However, they forgot about the
trees. Jon had an idea: they would use the coals from the
stoves to start a fire and smoke. They could run out in the
smoke, without being seen, and get away. It worked with a
little of Marvin's help.

Finally Jon realized who Marvin was. He must
have been crazy to not have figured that out
before. He even figured out that it was Marvin
that made his experiments work.

When Jon and Marvin got home, Jon treated
Marvin whole lot better. He treated Marvin like
the hero he was, but Marvin just laughed and
went on with life as usual until the next great
adventure.
