Once upon a time, there was an elf named Minty.  Minty was an elf on the shelf for the Snow family.  His job was to watch Betty and Ricky Snow. 

    Minty headed back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve to let Santa know that he should give Betty and Ricky plenty of gifts on Christmas. 

    Minty traveled through the cold, icy and windy blizzard as fast as he could. He was so tired but he didn't get give up he knew that he had to get back to the North Pole.

Minty was so cold and could barely see in the storm.

Minty ended up in an unfamiliar land but he had a suspicion about where he was.  Minty was worried and began pacing back and forth in the snow.  Minty did not believe that he was actually in the South Pole.  Minty knew that this was where Santa Coals and the mean elves live.  He was scared because Santa Coals and the means elves give the bad kids coal.

While Minty was worried about any bad elves being around, an abominable snowman appeared outside of an igloo.  Minty was very scared and felt like he should run away.

Minty was very scared and did not say anything to the abominable snowman at all.

"Hey buddy, what's your name?"

    The abominable snowman said, “It’s okay, my name is Icy.  I live here in my igloo.”

    Minty replied, “I’m Minty, I meant to fly to the North Pole, I shouldn’t be here.”

    “Oh no, do you know about Santa Coals who lives here with the mean elves?”

    Minty told Icy, “Yes, I know.  I cannot be here with someone who makes coal for children!  It’s Christmas Eve and I haven’t gotten back to Santa’s workshop in the North Pole to tell Santa that Betty and Ricky need to get plenty of toys this year.”

    “Here Minty, have a snow cone while I tell you how you’re going to get back to the North Pole," Icy said.

Icy and Minty walked through the snow while Minty  ate a snow cone and ended up at a workshop.

Minty asked, "Where are we, this looks exactly like the workshop we have at the North Pole?"

Icy said, "This is where the bad elves work to make coal for all the bad boys and girls, we are here because the elves stole my special glitter that I put on snow cones that can help you get home.  It will give you enough energy to fly through the blizzard."

Minty questioned, "How will we ever get past the elves there are so many of them?” 

    Icy said, "The plan is that you will go inside and act like one of them and then when they least expect it you will take the glitter.”

“No, I cannot go in there.  I can’t!" Minty yelled.

Icy told him, “Yes you can.  You need to if you want to make it back to the North Pole to let Santa know how good Betty and Ricky have been.  You can do this, I believe in you!"

Minty built up enough courage to walk into the workshop.

He found some of the mean elves and even spotted Santa Coals from far away but luckily Santa Coals did not recognize Minty as one of the good elves.

Minty asked one of the bad elves, "I'm going to need to borrow the glitter."

The bad elf told Minty he could not take the glitter then went to Santa Coals to tell him that Minty tried to steal the glitter.
