King: Go to sleep little princess.

But Princess Ariel did not want to go to bed, she wanted to hear a story.

Princess Ariel: Papa, tell me your and mom's love story! Please! Please! Please!

The King, finally relenting, told Princess Ariel about how the Queen and him met.

Once Upon a Time, the King started, a beautiful princess lived in her castle. 

But not only was she beautiful, she was kind, smart, creative, and so many other things that went beyond her beauty.

When the king saw her, he was stunned by her beauty and asked for a dance.

She accepted and they danced the night away. When the final dance was over, he knew he was in love so he asked her to marry him and she said yes. 

So they returned to Kingdom Loving, his palace, to be married later that week. 

The Princess did not tell her parents what she was doing so they returned soon after the wedding to tell them the news. 

King: No, I won't have it.

Princess: But father, he is so kind and caring. And I love spending time with him.

King: No, he is King of Loving, nobody from the Kingdom of Virginiaamarried someone from Loving. 

But when they returned, they found out the King and Queen of Virginiaa were not okay with the marriage. 

Princess: Too late, I have already married him. 

King: It doesn't matter, I won't uphold it in my kingdom. And you are living in my kingdoms, so get out or leave him.

Princess: So this means that nobody from different kingdoms can marry each other. Ever!

King: You would be correct. 

The Princess was upset and complained to her mother who had the idea to take it to The Fairies. They were three fairies who made decisions for everyone in Happily Ever After. 

They both agreed to that and set off the next morning. The Queen and King of Virginiaa, the Princess of Virginiaa, and her new husband, the King of Loving. 

They arrived at the fairies cottage and the fairies came out to greet them. 

The King of Virginiaa told them his dilemma and they went inside to debate on it. 

After only being inside for a few minutes, they came out to tell the group their decision. 

They claimed that "love is love" and it doesn't matter what kingdom you come from, we all deserved to be loved.
