Blankets are used to keep warm when it gets cold. Fall is when the weather becomes colder and you may want a blanket.

Fall is when it becomes colder outside. As a result, the birds go south, hibernating animals gather the last of food, and the leaves turn colors and fall.

During Halloween, a popular costume is a ghost. Ghost are known as spirits of people who have passed away that appear in the living world.

On October 31st, people dress up as their favorite things and go door to door to get candy when they say "trick or treat". The initial idea of Halloween was to wear scary outfits to confuse the spirits, but now people dress up as anything from something cute to food!

is for Jack-o-Lantern

A Jack-o-Lantern is a decoration that is up during Halloween. Creating one is a fun activity. You get a pumpkin, cut the top off, scoop out the guts, carve eyes, a mouth, and a nose into it, set a candle inside, and set the top back on. Some people are very good at this.

Kites are toys that fly in the air when you hold onto the string on the ground, but it must be windy. It is very windy during fall, so you can bring out your kite.

During the Fall, you may notice some trees' leaves are no longer green. This is the time of year known for the leaves changing beautiful colors of red, orange, yellow, and brown. They fall off the trees onto the ground. The trees don't start growing the leaves back until the Spring.

Maize, as known as corn, is very popular during this time of year. It is an annual cereal grass known for its starchy seeds.

October is the first full month of Fall. Its holidays consist of Columbus Day (10/10) and Halloween (10/31).

One of the most popular desserts during this season is pie. Pie is a pastry filled with a fruit filling (or chocolate). Some of the most popular pies during this time of year are pumpkin, apple, and pecan.
